Justice on earth. How many have been able to avoid punishment via the legal system? People going to the grave with dastardly secrets.
So divine justice will catch up with these people? Will catch up with us for that matter. Judgement Day. What a day.
I will have to look God in the face and be held to account.
Divine justice must be real. God knows our dirty little secrets. We will have pay. Just not eternity...please!

"But he who overcomes, the same shall be saved" is the verse that is brought to my mind as I consider this.

Why wouldn't you just be content with them being forgiven...… exactly as Jesus asked the Father to do concerning the people murdering Him?

Oddly, we don't really want people to just be forgiven, do we? If we are honest, we are no different than the workers in the vineyard who resented the late-comers not having to do just as much as they (we) had to for the same reward.

of course we would all want them to, the scripture indicates there may be something more to it.

But, we have to be honest that nothing more was mentioned as Jesus hung there on the cross.

And to continue being honest, we would be talking about everyone, Hitler, Herod, and all the rest, when we say "Of course we all want them to be forgiven." It might be kind of like saying "...……. but I wouldn't want them living next door to me...... Or to have that new prison or halfway-house built in my neighborhood."

yeah i suppose so. but if you read atrocities committed under Mao or Stalin or Pol Pot, you hope there would be some explanation , some repentance, some justice for victims.

We wouldn't be saying much of anything if we are Biblical, as we are no longer our own we are hidden in Him, we only manifest to the world what He would have us, which is the Gal. "Love, joy, peace" etc,
We must not live for self if we are truly His.
