That is a new spin.... Does not work at all since Paul never states they were unjustified by going back to the law.

God does not undo His decree of justified which is a one time event that cannot be revoked.

Seriously how can you present God in such a poor light.
These people have no concept or understanding of the word IRREVOCABLE ad applied to gifts (plural) and the call (singular) of God....think on this.....EVEN TO A MAN THAT REJECTS THE CALL OF GOD TO SALVATION IS IRREVOCABLE!! Chew on that!

No the verses say directly that they who were saved, if they are sinning willfuly there remains no more sacrifice for their sins. Only a certain fearful looking for of judgement and fiery indignation WHICH SHALL DEVOUR THE ADVERSARIES. If we are sinning willfuly we are GOD's adversaries and we shall be devoured. And that is what the willfull sinner HAS TO LOOK FORWARD TO FEAR FULLY. That is what the verse says.

For if we are sinning wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
(Heb 10:26-27)
Really? To think I could have spent that time responding to you elsewhere, perhaps making a nice cake or something.

If this is what you believe, then be very careful to not sin willfully.

I will stick with the correct understanding of the passage.

Resting upon the completed work of Christ Jesus from where I find the grace to live as a child of God.

In other words you can't argue with what was posted. It is hard to kick against the pricks.

We already discussed this and you had agreed. It is sinning willfuly.
Resting upon the completed work of Christ Jesus from where I find the grace to live as a child of God
Amen me too!

If this does not mean falling away from Christ for justification, how do you fall away from Christ for justification? And if you do that are you still justified, or do you lose your justification, or are you just showing you were never really justified in the first place?
remember dear friend severed or separated from Christ doesnt have to mean you were first in Christ. proof this word isnt always like that:

"...separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world," (Ephesians 2:12)

so gentiles were in Christ, then separate then brought back again? no thats not it friend.

Justification is not conditional on nothing at all.
You have to have faith in God to be justified.
That's a condition.
It's just not the condition of doing works of the law.

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Titus 3:5-7 (HCSB)
5 He saved usnot by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 He poured out this ⌊Spirit⌋ on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 so that having been justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NJB)
8 Because it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith; not by anything of your own, but by a gift from God;
9 not by anything that you have done, so that nobody can claim the credit.

Romans 5:9-10 (NASB)
9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

JESUS DID IT ALL, SALVATION and JUSTIFICATION,

So why do you want to ROB JESUS of the GLORY that only belongs to HIM ? ? ?

That is not what I meant, once we are justified/redeemed/sanctified it is not a conditional state, like some kind of revolving door we travel in and out of.

It is just amazing to me how anyone can believe such a completely nonsensical Gospel.

Those who truly trust in Christ for salvation are saved once, and saved always.

Believe it, it is truth!

Ten chapters of context you pull one verse which you are not even close to understanding.

Do you really think Jesus did not die for willful sin?

Amazing you received a like for selling God short, our own Lord and Saviour.... you do realize by stating that salvation can be lost through sin you are as well trampling His sacrifice underfoot much like the Jews who were returning to the blood sacrifices.

On its most simple level the author is telling the Jew turned Christian that Jesus is the final blood sacrifice and no sacrifice of any kind is needed.

Please be honest, you do not believe in the complete efficacy of the work of the cross...anyone who works for salvation has no rest.

Your posts upset and grieve me terribly, so I hope and pray I can exert self control to not respond again.

According to this I don't think it can be a revolving door.

Hebrews 6:4-6 NIV
"It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace."

JESUS DID IT ALL, SALVATION and JUSTIFICATION,
Yes, salvation is not by works of the law.

and OUR NAMES WERE WRITTEN IN THE LAMBS BOOK OF LIFE, BEFORE TIME BEGAN.
Yes, God, in his omniscience, knew in advance who will stay the course and make it to the end and not fall from faith in Christ.

So why do you want to ROB JESUS of the GLORY that only belongs to HIM ? ? ?
He told us to believe and to believe to the end. How does that rob him of his glory?
Doesn't that glorify him when we do what he says? I thought we rob him of his glory when we don't do what he says.

The willful sin in Hebrews 10:26 is the sinning that occurs when you scoff at the forgiveness of God that you have received.

You hear about Christ. You accept his forgiveness. Then you trample on the gracious gift you have received by purposefully and knowingly continuing in the sin he forgave you of, showing contempt for the free gift. That's how you trample on the blood of Christ. The free gift can not benefit the person who does not apply it in faith.

you do realize by stating that salvation can be lost through sin you are as well trampling His sacrifice underfoot much like the Jews who were returning to the blood sacrifices.
When a person does what I just wrote above they are guilty of blaspheme of the Spirit. They have the truth delivered to them by the Holy Spirit staring them right in the face, and in this case, have even received the benefit of it in having their sins forgiven, then they purposely continue in the sin God forgave them of and set you free from. That's showing contempt for the free gift.

It's like someone giving a lame person an expensive, sacrificial gift that makes it so they can get around and they find out that person cast it aside in contempt and won't use it and threw it out in the rain like a useless thing. That's what believers are doing when they receive the free gift of righteousness and then show contempt for it by purposely choosing not to walk in that gift and live in the life of unrighteousness God's righteousness saved them from.

Okay, but you still have a problem.

We can't say the Galatians being separated from Christ meant they were never in Christ.
Paul said they were in Christ.
Here.

Galatians 3:2-3 NIV
"Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?"

Galatians 4:28-31 NIV
Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now. But what does Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.” Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.
