The radio plays
Cheerful music
Chatting cheerfully
Just interupted
By the news.

News of
Car accidents
Violent crimes
Terrorism
Brutal crimes

Again the meaningless
Chitchat
And the too
Upbeat music
From the radio.

An elderly woman
Reads an old
Weekly magazine.
A young man looks
Down into
His mobile.

Silence
Except from
The radio
And the voice
Calling
one person after
The other.

Einarsdottir!
My turn!
Not something
I look forward to
I rather want to
Hide
Hide behind
My phone.

Einarsdottir!
The voice is
Sharper now.
I need to go.
Face the pain
And humiliation
Waiting me

And I think.
One day.
I will be called
Einarsdottir!

That day
I will run
Like a child.
To be home
Home with my
Father.
Home. Where I have
Always belonged.
And longed for.

No more doctor's
Waiting room
No more imperfect
Health
No more wounds
No more pain

I am looking forward
To that day
when my Father
Calls
Einarsdottir!
I hope the time
until then
goes quickly!

Rev 21:1-4 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."

if only once we hear His Call,
then we know where our hearts belong forever,
nothing else matters...
