Music wards off an evil spirit?

Little off topic sorry but a poster mentioned about plants and sound I’ve looked into these claims. it appears there’s been scientific study’s on plants and they do feel noise vibrations, but not in the type like style in music genre

plants will produce chemical defenses depending on wind vibrations or the buzzing of insects and other environmental noice frequency factors to help them survive in their environment rather on a quit mountain slope or next to a busy jet airplane runway, so it seems even plants hear sound sort of.

I mentioned that because there’s sites that claim the genre of music will make or break a plants life there’s no real scientific proof it does, I think it’s of a deception those sites to claim it has a name Pseudoscientific.

Dunno, I had several plants croak after being exposed for hours after the likes of Tiny Tim (and I don't mean the Dickens character)...


I'm not sure if it was the voice or the subject matter of 'tulips' LOL.

To throw a monkey wrench into this discussion, later we find this (comparing to the 1Sam 16 passage quoted in the OP.)..

Now once again there was war. So David went out to fight the Philistines. He defeated them thoroughly and they ran away from him. Then an evil spirit from the Lord came upon Saul. He was sitting in his house with his spear in his hand, while David was playing the lyre. Saul tried to nail David to the wall with the spear, but he escaped from Saulʼs presence and the spear drove into the wall. David escaped quickly that night. 1 Samuel 19:8-10

Now all of a sudden the evil spirit (was it the same spirit) does not depart but stirred up further envy in Saul's heart...

Now once again there was war. So David went out to fight the Philistines. He defeated them thoroughly and they ran away from him. Then an evil spirit from the Lord came upon Saul. He was sitting in his house with his spear in his hand, while David was playing the lyre. Saul tried to nail David to the wall with the spear, but he escaped from Saulʼs presence and the spear drove into the wall. David escaped quickly that night. 1 Samuel 19:8-10.

So much for a lot of the theories put forth on this thread. Goes to show, demons don't always follow our nifty psychological formulas. They make lyres out of us when we try to apply them lol.

in my first faux 'marriage', only one, next one from Yeshua...
I bought a very beautiful plant that could be grown indoors, and in the beginning it did just that,
it actually grew way beyond what a normal one would, and in my bed-room to boot, we had a real connection, and I would often rub
milk over its leaves, it thrived beyond what most could believe, even without the sun -
after my carnal-marriage started to show it's roots, my beloved plant began to die, one leaf at a time, right along side of me -
I grieved over this but could not think of a way to stop it, as I was so self-centered/bondaged and trying to find a way to survive -
it died, and so did I, to the world; THEN Yeshua stepped-into my life and extended His hand to me, and thankfully,
I took a-hold of it and He 'called me out - i'll stop here for now...

This was a little before my time. I remember hearing a preacher say, "He was no Tiny Tim tiptoing through the tulips' when I was a child. My parents said it was a guy who used to sing on TV. I had forgotten about that, But now, with YouTube, I can know what the preacher was talking about.

Those popular references in sermons do not always register with kids. It kind of reminds me of the Canadian pastor using hockey games as analogies. American football analogies do not work well with most foreign audiences, either.

as much as I could at that time, but, obviously it was not enough, as my world at that time
was my own invention for survival that had to fail, because it was so very carnal -
and yes, I did sing with all of my deceived heart, and this proved to be just what
it truly was, totally deception...

I am so blessed now to be able to look back and perceive-receive my worldly faults -
and, praise Yeshua for calling me out of that devilish-worldly-bondage...

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to The Lord;

Vs 16 should tilt the scale back the other direction...

AFAIK there was one study done that had a whole lot of problems with biased interpretation, experimental design and controls, but it gave the answer a lot of conservatives wanted to hear, so it has been repeated for decades as though it's gospel.

I use to go when I was young.. I am OLD Now lol.. YOUNG OLD! Any way would go to this bible study. One night when they were praying for me she said " I see all these black albums." Said I should brake them and get rid of them. It was :) like Kiss, Boston, Styx on and on. We duh. I didn't lol. Few weeks later she was praying and said "you didn't brake those albums I still see them.

A tiny bit history here. They said from the start "if we say anything that is not in the word of God do not believe us". And to maybe help you see a little better. I at that time had this wart on my palm. So I asked for prayer. So they were praying and RIGHT at the end they said this "and lord we pray for the warts between his toes". Lucky guess? Yeah.. I had a few between my toes. As God as my witness I did nothing. If you ever had warts.. I had those for.. wow years. No lie.. in a week ALL vanished. Gone never ever came back. Again I did nothing. Those days.. you could not just go to the store and buy something :)

So I did get rid of those albums. I LOVED I mean LOVED acid rock music. Now there is TONS of music in this world that are not evil. Some of those albums were like that. As Christ would say "there is no LIVE in them". <---do you see? Understand? No as I ME understand EVIL in listening to so much of that. Its our free choice.

A tad deeper.. In Samuel "Samuel grew in the lord and the lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground"...ooh praise GOD! Glory To Jesus.

Was you wart free before getting the black albums? was listening to the music the reason why the warts appeared?
