Feel free to ignore my post. It's simple and maybe even seemingly unrelated to the ongoing messages. But I believe it matters.

1st Corinthians 13.
I beg of the Muslims here to read it.
I ask even more for the Christians to.
Not just the popularized passage. The whole chapter.

I had a pastor speak on terrorism and reference this and similar passages. He asked
"Does this mean God wants me to love the men that kill innocent women and children?"
Everyone grumbled. The pastor said "maybe...but if anyone can, he's a better man than I."

I must agree. He would be a better man. Because God would be working through him to love those that we would rather hate or disparage. And if we should love even the radicals and terrorists - and represent that love in every way that is taught to us through the scripture, how much should we love those we simply disagree with, in life or in this forum?

I love those who have posted here, as I love everyone. I do not always show it the best that I can, and I do not always follow the scripture in this as I should. But every day I try, and try harder, and I pray for God to help me.

Hippie I am not. But Christian - Christian I am. And I don't think God gives us a choice in this one.

Correct me if I am wrong - but our highest commandment is to love God. The runner up is - love everyone else.
Love them in the way that 1st Corinthians shows us.

Okie dokie. I guess that's all I have to say. Feel free to go back to your arguments and lambasting and points of logic, if you feel the need. I would, personally, rather encourage loving and caring communication.

Hello everyone :)
i am new here and i am muslim.
I would love to be friend with you and if you have any question on islam and muslims feel free to ask or pm me :)
Shalom :)
If he is a Muslim then he should know that Muhammad prohibited him from making friends with Jews and Christians:

Surah 5:51 O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.

But you likely knew that, so it's probably safe to presume you were just another Muhammadan engaging in taqiyyah. No shortage of Muslims engaging it such, with unwary clergy even duped into allowing Muslims to hold a blasphemy service in the Washington National Cathedral.
THE GLOBAL WAR AGAINST TRUTH - TAQIYYAH

You do realize how old this thread is right?

I mean, it was an interesting read but it seems half these users are banned.

@FreedomFound just double checks the dates before you post. If a user is still active and it's relevant I'd personally like to revisit old threads, but if they haven't logged they most likely won't see it.

Muslims rarely come on here. Mainly because it's a CHRISTIAN site, and muslims are far from being Christians. Though I think there are a couple here who are questioning their faith and possibly want to become Christians..

I actually met two on cc recently. One has given his life to Jesus...the other seems to be going the wrong direction.

I think thread resurrections are a good idea. Though Easter might be a better time?

Sometimes, loving people involves stopping them from pursuing a course of action. If your child was going to commit suicide would you let them? Or would you seek to prevent it even if that meant calling the police, getting a court commital, and holding them against their will? We have a misconception in American that loving someone means letting them do whatever they want to do. This sort of tolerance rightfully ends when actions and behaviors become destructive to self or others.

Muslims hold the historical Jesus in high esteem. Muslims view this prophet's mission as freeing Palestine from 900 years of Indo-Aryan (aka Persians, Greeks and Romans) military, political and cultural occupation. These foreign ideas included philosophic influences as the Greek/Stoic logos, incarnated deities (avatars), offspring of deities (demigods), vicarious atonement (Promethian crucifixion & self sacrifice) and nirvana (oneness with the deity-Jhn 14 & 17)) which contradicted the Torah. These Indo-Aryan ideas were infiltrating the native Palestinian culture in the form of gnosticism. The religious leaders of the temple cult became a bunch of Roman collaborators who compromised the Torah in return for foreign favor and wealth. Muslims do not agree with the Jewish-Hellenized syncretism which turned this historical prophet into a demigod like Perseus, an avatar of Deus Pater and a sacrificial victim like the Titan Prometheus. Vicarious atonement was explicitly forbidden in Deut 24:16 which states: "Every man shall be put to death for HIS OWN SIN." The religion and life of Jesus must be viewed in its historical Semitic context and not thru the lens of the Roman church which twisted the history and mission of this 1st Century Palestinian into a model of a Roman (Indo-Aryan) demigod.

This is not only Illogical, it is historically inaccurate, But you know this as it is a quote from one of your false teacher,
Why are you on this site, you will get no converts

This thread is from 2014.
The OP has been banned long ago.
Non-Christians are allowed on this site.
Non-Christian views are allowed to be discussed on this site, as long as it stays a discussion and not an attempt to preach alternate views.
Question marks are good ways to end sentences that ask questions.

Actually Platosgirl you are very Wrong. Not only do Muslims hold Jesus in a high regared they also believe that He was a "Faultless Man" per the Quran.
Surah 19:16-20
And make mention of Mary in the Scripture, when she had withdrawn from her people to a chamber looking East,

17. And had chosen seclusion from them. Then We sent unto her Our spirit and it assumed for her the likeness of a perfect man.

18. She said: Lo! I seek refuge in the Beneficent One from you, if you are God fearing.

19. He said: I am only a messenger of your Lord, that I may bestow on you a faultless son.

20. She said: How can I have a son when no mortal hath touched me, neither have I been unchaste!
The Heights Surah 7:158
Also a fact not taught to Muslims and most folks who are not Muslims are not aware of the fact the Muslims are actually supposed to read and study from the Old and New Testaments as well as the Quran.

“Say {O Muhammed) O mankind! Verily, I am sent to you all as the Messenger of Allah to who belongs the dominion of the Heavens and the earth. La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshiped but he) It is he who gives life and causes death. So believe in Allah and his Messenger (Muhammed) the prophet who can neither read or write, who believes in Allah and his words (this Quran), the Taurat {the Jewish Torah}and the Injeel {the Gospel of Jesus}and also Allah’s word. Be – and he was, i.e. Isa (Jesus) son of Maryam (Mary), and follow him so that you may be guided”. (Translated by Dr. Muhammed Taqi-ud-Din Al-Hilali and Dr.Mohammed Mushin Khan)
