The number one reason marriages fail:

"1What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? 2You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight." - James 4:1-2

The very antithesis of God's love.

this is true it comes from desire basically i believe is what the verse is saying right. not healthy desire but like lust. i really want that car i really want that car. instead of being content with what God has given

you know always lust grows too, once you get something you need more. like look at drug addicts, first its small amount, then you need more and more and more. same with se*xual sins, it becomes more and more perverted until its like what some of the catholic priests do.
same also with lust for money. you first just want to get good returns on investment, but then you need bigger and bigger investment returns and more houses more cars more jewelry its always more. the lust is never satisfied. there is one famous magazine owner here who was really rich and he drank himself to death and he said "i have done everything i can do with money" so just like salomon he realized okay it didnt fulfill me.

i think its only Jesus that can bring that real fulfillment, it doesnt matter if you never have s*ex or never have a car or never have a house or never fly a jet or never have jewelry, never invest in anything but if you have Jesus and in good fellowship with God you will be happier than any of those people chasing their lusts endlessly like dog chasing tail.

Not that I wish to generalise here but I'm sure the following does not help either

1 Peter 3:7

A Word to Husbands
7 Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.

Huh, that's funny. My Bible ends the passage at vs. 6...

"...the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 5For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands, 6like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord." - 1 Peter 3:4-6

Calling him lord. I joke that it’s the 80’s in our home. The 1880’s, lol.

I use a similar joke when talking about how Paul uses the lawful submission of a wife to a husband to illustrate how we are in lawful submission to the flesh, until the flesh dies, whereby the law no longer has authority to hold us in marital bondage to the demands of the flesh.

"2For instance, a married woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he lives." - Romans 7:2

I did think about posting that verse.

The reason I didn't was because having spent time with a few couples it was apparent that the husband expected to wife to be obedient but alas the obedience they wanted was not the lady described in the above verse.

They twisted the meaning. They rode roughshod over their wives and basically do not love her like Christ loves the church.

I cannot recall in the Bible where a wife is told to love her husband but a husband is.

Seen too many situations where a husband does not do that but basically wants a slave to conform his way of thinking.

Mind you I could have posted

Proverbs 27:15
15 A quarrelsome wife is as annoying
as constant dripping on a rainy day.

Proverbs 21:9
9 It’s better to live alone in the corner of an attic
than with a quarrelsome wife in a lovely home.

I remember once a while back.

My wife was stood in front of long mirror.
She asked me "Does this dress make my bum look big?

Without thinking I said "No it's all the cake and chocolate you eat that makes your bum big"

I soon saw the errors of my ways.

About three days later the right blackened eye healed and two days later the left one did.

Wikipedia's ...that is funny....

The original and correct statement is as I stated "you cannot eat your cake and have it too" ...maybe do some research on forensic linguistics.

I only stated this to demonstrate how much you hate being contradicted ...and I know I am absolutely correct and still you could not take correction... and we have shown you biblical truth repeatedly which you cannot accept because you cannot admit when you are wrong....
Smh

Titus 2:3-4
"3Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. 4Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children"

Take her to the circus and make sure she only stands in front of the tall and slender mirror.

Oh, and you gave me a Fantasy Church from a Movie.

Okay, Now I know there is NO DOCTRINAL STATEMENT OF THAT CHURCH that I can look up.

Which means you probably do not go to any Church.

My guess, is you are an ex-Catholic, and formed your own false theological theory, and proceed to criticize those of us, who DO GO CHURCH.

I am not ashamed of the Church that I attend. I go to a Community Church, that is a BIBLE TEACHING CHURCH, of the Evangelical Style of Teaching. I have told that to you and others several times on this Thread and other Threads, but we NOW know you only skim through our Posts, AT BEAST, and then rant with NO REAL Theological Training or even Theology from a Pulpit. You can GO NOW, because None of us will ever take serious, anything you say.

Here is why you do not understand, and think it is all FOOLISHNESS.

1 Corinthians 2:12-16 (NIV)
12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:
16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
Romans 11:9
And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:

Truth be known? It was precisely people like you, "who make the hearts of the righteous sad, and strengthen the hands of the wicked by promising them life." Something of the which you have not the authority to do.
Is the exact reason I walked away from "churches of stone!"
Haven't returned since!
