Hi everyone.

Not been well over Christmas nor my wife.

Wasn't going into work today as still struggling.

But I had to go in.

One of my employees died last night. It was sudden.
I had to go in and break this news to the rest of the employees.

My company is not big but I have tried to install realational aspect.

I was sat in my car for an hour waiting for clients to leave so I could go in and break this news.

As I was sat in my car I asked God how do I break this news.
Funeral like or not.

Anyway I did break the news.
Matter of fact. And it was hard.

This lady has left a husband and a 4 year old son.
Heartbreak to know that the husband had to tell his son that mum is not coming home.

The only prayers I could offer up was "God in this situation can you please break in"

Can you all on here pray the same.

Maybe just step back from a post here and post a prayer to our Father.
For those left behind and that somehow God will work in this.
I pray that God will comfort, sustain, and strengthen the family and loved ones and you.

Thank you.
Thank you for praying for me as well.
I did want to ask for prayer for me as well.
But thought it might be selfish.
Cause truly I'm struggling with it.

Salvation is maintained thru our Faith in the Source which is maintained thru our Works. Their is nothing in this this world that is obtained or maintained without work. To imply otherwise "and especially without context" seems to promote a level of lasciviousness and unaccountability.
And this post reeks of ignorance.....

JESUS maintains our salvation...HE BEGAN the work of faith in us, HE finishes the work of faith in US and he COMPLETES the work of faith in us and we are KEPT by the power of GOD through said faith....

TO imply we maintain anything is not only false, but as contrary as it comes.........

It’s never selfish to ask for prayer. It is humbly acknowledging that you need and desire for others to stand with you

Yes, people don’t understand the warning passages in the Bible. The point is, I know I have eternal life, I am secure in that knowledge, and also take very seriously the warning passages at the same time.

Because it is theoretically possible that I am deceiving myself or being deceived. I can go to the scriptures and use them to examine myself

Because I can fall and become unfruitful. I don’t want to get to the Bema seat and have all my works get burned up.

Because my bad actions affect other people.

Etc.

there are a hundred reasons to take very seriously the warning passages without going to “ it’s up to me to keep myself”. I can’t keep myself. That’s why I go to Jesus constantly. Because He is my sustainer.

He revives my soul, cleanses me, Trims and reignites the smoking flax, fixes the bruised reed, gives me oil for my lamp, and pours water when my heart begins to harden.

I agree...salvation is secure, but we can have the crap whipped out of us, lose reward, lose a possible position of leadership, be made to wander the wilderness, have our works burnt up, lose our witness, be unusable (castaway) <--Paul's word, etc........and the funny (sic) truth.....the salvation losers have no concept of chastisement <---WHY and HOW......David being the PRIMO example of an eternally saved child of GOD that LOVED GOD, yet failed, sinned grievously and payed the price physically (chastened) for his sin!

Yes, chastisement is very unpleasant, but it is very much a part of God’s Grace. Not all grace is pleasant and rosy. It’s the hard things like chastening, trials, hupomene in suffering, etc that produce a Christ like spirit and walk.

That is why we are called to give thanks for all things

I will not argue with a fool
Now, now. Last I checked, that was no way to talk to a lady. For someone who professes to be a Christian, that is no way to talk to anyone. God can revoke your ticket into the Kingdom at any time He so chooses. Christian walk carefully. Keep that lamp trimmed and burning. Abide in the vine, brother.

Tis one thing in "having hope!"
Tis quite another in "changing" HOPE" to "Eternal Security!"

Do you see the difference?

No I don't, CHRIST IS THE SURE THING, as IF IT ALREADY HAPPENED. HOPE THAT GOD MEANT WHAT HE SAID IS A SURE THING.

HE IS THE GUARANTEE THAT HOPE IS ETERNAL SECURITY:

Romans 5:1-11 (HCSB)
1 Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 We have also obtained access through Him by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only that, but we also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance,
4 endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope.
5 This hope will not disappoint ⌊us⌋, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
6 For while we were still helpless, at the appointed moment, Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For rarely will someone die for a just person—though for a good person perhaps someone might even dare to die.
8 But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!
9 Much more then, since we have now been declared righteous by His blood, we will be saved through Him from wrath.
10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, ⌊then how⌋ much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by His life!
11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have now received this reconciliation through Him.

Titus 1:2 (HCSB)
2 in the hope of eternal life that God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.

OTHER VERSES THAT PROVE THIS HOPE IS ETERNAL SECURITY.

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Titus 3:5-7 (HCSB)
5 He saved usnot by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 He poured out this ⌊Spirit⌋ on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 so that having been justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

Romans 4:4-5 (NET)
4 Now to the one who works, his pay is not credited due to grace but due to obligation.
5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous, his faith is credited as righteousness.

Ephesians 2:4-5 (HCSB)
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us,
5 made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NJB)
8 Because it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith; not by anything of your own, but by a gift from God;
9 not by anything that you have done, so that nobody can claim the credit.

Romans 5:8-11 (HCSB)
8 But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!
9 Much more then, since we have now been declared righteous by His blood, we will be saved through Him from wrath.
10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, ⌊then how⌋ much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by His life!
11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have now received this reconciliation through Him.

1 Corinthians 15:10 (HCSB)
10 But by God’s grace I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not ineffective. However, I worked more than any of them, yet not I, but God’s grace that was with me.

1 Peter 1:3-5 (HCSB)
3 Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
4 and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.
5 You are being protected by God’s power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

Romans 11:6 (NASB)
6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.

Philippians 1:6 (HCSB)
6 I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 3:5 (HCSB)
5 ⌊It is⌋ not that we are competent in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our competence is from God.

Philippians 2:13 (HCSB)
13 For it is God who is working in you, ⌊enabling you⌋ both to desire and to work out His good purpose.

Ephesians 1:11-14 (HCSB)
11 We have also received an inheritance in Him, predestined according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will,
12 so that we who had already put our hope in the Messiah might bring praise to His glory.
13 When you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed in Him, you were also sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.
14 He is the down payment of our inheritance, for the redemption of the possession, to the praise of His glory.

2 Timothy 2:19 (HCSB)
19 Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, having this inscription: The Lord knows those who are His, and Everyone who names the name of the Lord must turn away from unrighteousness.

John 10:27-28 (HCSB)
27 My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me.
28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish—ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand.

2 John 1:2 (HCSB)
2 because of the truth that remains in us and will be with us forever.

Do you see the difference?

NO!

QUOTE:

1:2 hope. This is divinely promised and divinely guaranteed to all believers, providing endurance and patience (cf. John 6:37-40; Rom. 8:18-23; 1 Cor. 15:51-58; Eph. 1:13, 14; Phil. 3:8-11, 20, 21; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 John 3:2, 3). See notes on 1 Peter 1:3-9.cannot lie. Cf. 1 Samuel 15:29; Hebrews 6:18. Because God Himself is truth and the source of truth, it is impossible for Him to say anything untruthful (John 14:6, 17; 15:26; cf. Num. 23:19; Ps. 146:6). before time began. God’s plan of salvation for sinful mankind was determined and decreed before man was even created. The promise was made to God the Son (see notes on John 6:37-44; Eph. 1:4, 5; 2 Tim. 1:9).

The MacArthur Bible Commentary.

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

I do not understand how anyone can miss the truth of an instatanious eternal birth by faith.....even a simple cursory read of the bible sets this forth as clear as broad daylight!
Hebrews 6

6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
6:3 And this will we do, if God permit.
6:4 For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame.
6:7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
6:8 But that which beareth thorns and briers [is] rejected, and [is] nigh unto cursing; whose end [is] to be burned.

Clear as broad daylight that salvation is conditional and can be revoked. God did not forsake these people; they forsook him.

Abraham did not do any actual work, he simply showed a willingness to obey God. That was sufficient.
Nice twist.....

BELIEVED

OBEY

What part of those two words make them the same thing....

ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD and it was put to his account for righteousness

This is one reason why you and your pals peddle false gospels....constantly conflating words and denying the definitions of the words given.......sickening....!
