I only stir the pot when people are missing the point. Sometimes people get the point, other times I wind up getting the sticky end of the spoon!

But...everyone needs a hobby! :p

If you use one of those stick blenders you dont actually need to stir, you just switch it on, stick it in the pot and it stirs it for you.

Most things do need a bit of a stir cos it just tastes better. And its healthier. The Chinese did not invent stir-fry for nothing.
Unless you like eating sticky lumps only cooked on one side. I say stir away.
