ok thats odd, I didnt know you called football stadiums bowls!

we un-americans just call them a park or stadium.
Isnt there a Hollywood Bowl?

So what do you call bowling championships?
We call them football games.

We may have bowling championships, but nobody cares enough about them to give them special names and put them on national television and charge hundreds of dollars per ticket to watch them.

I watched half of the 3rdQ and the 4th .. And the highlights .. Pretty good game .. Never thought it was possible but I cancelled cable and lost interest in the NFL Jan 2017 with the take-a-knee and fake news crap .. I used to spend way too much time on college and NFL football .. I've drifted back a little but I can take it or leave it these days ..

"How can he sleep with all that racket?!"

Well after a while it just becomes background noise.

It's a shame he paid that much to be there, then missed the show. He could have put his seat down in his car and taken a nap a whole lot cheaper.

yea bowls..Lawn bowls or ten pin?

we have indoor bowling at church. Its not in the sanctuary/auditorium but held in the hall. I dont think people would dare bowling down the church aisle.

The other week one of the guys got up and asked that more people join. Its more a sport for oldies.

Sorry, we dont really have football. Rugby is the game here and usually played in a field or paddock at school. or in the park. I never got into it, even though its like a national religion for some, especially for men.

I think the good thing about it though is instead of like, blowing people up and stuff or invading other countries, you can just have a game and the winner gets the prize/burden of hosting the next game. if you really want to say how great your country is, just play a game of anything, instead of fighting.
