yeah that's pretty much it and people will defend it still

I have no doubt whatsoever there are very sincere believers who go there and they think it's all good because we have been 'trained' to think the person up front is truthful and to be trusted if they say they are a Christian

just throw discernment out the window if it makes you uncomfortable

but I'll say it again. people want something more than a 1 hr service where all they get to do is listen

we all have Bibles...Acts is looking pretty good for the believer who is bored in church

why do you think these things become MEGA churches?

we have the flip side of these churches with people like MacArthur and others who are cessationist and condemn ALL activity they cannot create or control

both sides and neither right
I would say I’m not surprised by how influential the Church is on young people. It’s energetic, juvenile, and engaging. These things attracts. Bill Johnson will certainly have to give answers for how he is misleading his flock.

Brian Houston has said openly that muslims and christians worship the same God...
I have seen it for myself , will see if I can get it up...

Also Hillsong have many satanic symbols at their concerts if you believe in the illuminati ...

I won a gold ticket to a Hillsong women's conference , I found the whole entertainment weird , this was not long after I was saved...

I attended Hillsong church for the first six months of my early walk with God , then I left and God placed me in a wonderful little church that is placed in my local library ...

So you actually attended Hillsong? What was the preaching/teaching like? I know some about Bethel but not so much Hillsong.

Yes I did...
The preaching was very bland , did not get fed , but I found I was drawn back each Sunday for the entertainment and not the Word...

I got Bbaptised there also because by that time in my walk , I knew it was something I needed to do , it was a very pop , hip movement at the time I attended , God had other plans for me and I am thankful for that...

before I became more aware of things at Hillsong, I did use to listen to Houston and found him pretty good in an encouraging way

this is the thing. there seems to be a mix with error in these churches and that is a dangerous thing

that would be Hillsong Australia...not one of the satellites

I guess that would have been in the UK? I know the Hillsong in New York has had quite a few problems having to do with morality

they are pretty loose it would seem

That’s my contention. A lot of churches here in the US are trying to attract new members by putting on shows and such. The sermons have very little Bible reading and are more akin happy feelings and thoughts.

The one in NY is awful , their pastor ( cant remember his name ) is leading people through the gates of hell...

Many celebs go to this so called church , it is very worldly , as in what it supports , it is quite shocking...

this is not Christianity by any means

You are correct , and they also have youth clubs and teen clubs , it is more like a cult than anything else...

The best false teachings are the ones with a certain percentage of truth mixed deception.

Most all teachers have something incorrect in their makeup.

Most all of them.

Part of the deal in listening to any sermon or teaching is spitting out the bones.

Bethal is off base here and there. But their music is awesome.

Bethel is like that. I do not agree with Bill.
That does not mean there is no redeeming dynamic to that ministry.

Some of their worship is awesome.

Phiilips Craig and Dean sing one of my favorite songs "revelation"
I go to the third heaven with that song
(Even though their doctrine is jesus only...yikes)

Jesus has never been a part of a perfect anything with man

King David is a pillar in the crime/conspiracy/disgrace the kingdom hall of shame.

I still hang on every part of his ministry.
BTW,He is the fore runner of Jesus.

While I admit I do like some of Bethels music, I really call into question the Church’s doctrine with certain things like dominionism and faith healing.

If there is any redeeming aspects, only God knows what they are.

This video came across my feed and I listened on the way to work this morning. The speakers claim that Hillsong, Bethel and Elevation are not churches, they teach a false Jesus, false gospel and the shepherds are leading folks down the wide road to hell. Thoughts?

I must admit I like Justin Peters , especially when he preaches his sermons called Clouds without water...
He has a great testimony about the " faith healers " as he was drawn to most of them because he has cerebral palsy ...

He talks alot about the wolves in sheeps clothing and is very informative...

if you are a relatively new Christian you would not be able to 'spit out the bones'

you cannot ignore the gross errors in Bethel

King David is a pillar in the crime/conspiracy/disgrace the kingdom hall of shame.
actually he does not measure up to the travesties at Bethel and I would not consider David a pillar of crime etc. that is an exaggeration IMO. he was one of the few good Kings Israel had, sin and all

do we need to compare OT figures that God chose in order to excuse Bethel because every person sins so therefore it's ok for the main players at Bethel to lead people astray?

I'm not in accordance with that

David didn't try to get an anointing from dead people before him...he counted on God for that....in fact, God sought David out to anoint him...he was chosen.

David sinned but he did not teach others to do the same. at Bethel, you can go to their school and learn how to do the things that are actually occultish

I could go on, but people will defend what they like for one reason or another and I have learned by now, that the facts become nonfactual when people do not want to see with discernment. instead they will go by feelings

and whereas I used to debate the daylights out of things like this and on this very forum, I don't see the use anymore

I still debate scripture cause that is black and white...obvious that Mary was not sinless...obvious that we no longer are judged by the law and so on

in the case of the subject matter of this thread, people gonna do what they gonna do

Their newish trick in Bethal is the golden dust coming out from the air vents and they are calling it the holy spirit falling on them o_O , I mean seriously , what next...
