Lot took his responsibility seriously to protect his guests and after Lot’s words did not work to convince the sex crazed men to leave, then he offered his daughters to the mob. As to why Lot offered the virginity of his daughters to the men outside his house, one could reason the following way: these were females who were engaged to two men of the city. So that offer could have had the effect of distracting or dividing the perverted mob. Furthermore, although Lot had at first entertained angels unawares, by now he well may have realized these to be messengers from God. (Heb. 13:2) Hence, Lot could have felt that, as deeply attached to his daughters as he was, he would be willing to sacrifice them if necessary. (Compare Genesis 22:1-14; 2 Samuel 12:3.). Also, Lot may have realized that these homosexual men were much more interested in male sexual contact than in female sexual contact. In offering his daughters to the mob, Lot could have been confident that, if it was God’s will, God would protect his daughters even as God had already protected Sarah in Egypt. (Gen. 12:17-19)

See the text in red? I agree that Lot was offering his daughters under duress, as likely if the visitors were not angels, the sodomisers would have taken the visitors by force. And Lot was valuing his visitors more highly than his daughters. But Lot did offer his daughters willingly. Or have I misunderstood you?
Yes, you are correct. And yes, you misread the post. The word I used was FANNY:) I was not referring to his daughter. I was referring to Lot's own anatomy;)

Maybe we should refrain from discussing such body parts in the context of the story of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Did you know the Brits use that term for a different part altogether, something the men of Sodom in the passage showed little interest in?

I would agree. Like he protected his seed in Sarah (Christ the spiritual) through Isaac .The daughters of Lot became like those of Ismael daughters of men. . not sons of God "redeemed mankind". A division from the seed Christ.

The daughters where sent a strong delusion needed to believe the lie. Similar to the parable when the concubine was cut up into 12 pieces to show disunity amongst the whole. The unseen spiritual house the bride . made up of many lively stones.

I do confess that I did misread your post - I interpreted the word as "family". But as for word I misinterpreted, I'm pretty certain Lot did not have one of those!
