Looks like you have good eats where you live. Everyone should be so lucky.
I had some good eats for dinner tonight that's for sure. As I don't believe in luck I must be blessed, especially having you as my wife.

I had fast food I also plan and pay for my lifestyle lol.

I could just stay home and have whatever mum cooks but tonight I worked and didnt.

The food was a bit better than last week when I when home early sick cos the fast food place just didnt cook it right. so Im not buying from them again.

I went to a different one. I expect I will get sick of buying dinner all the time at fast food outlets and will have to bring my own heat up and microwave food eventually. I know sacrilege microwaved food?!

Cos I cant really cook at work. Now if I worked at a restuarant I COULD cook at work but I dont its a bookshop.

what is a Christian meal?

is that a meal where you are a believer in Jesus and ask Him to bless the food?
No It's because when I sit down to eat and look at the meal I say HOLY SMOKES!!!

Whether you believe in God or not, consider yourself blessed. Many people plan, and then fall ill or some other tragedy happens and they loose it all.
I planned for my present life style but along the way developed two diseases. A Non/Hodgkins Lymphoma called Waldenstrom's Disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis. but having retired 26 years ago i have had a great life.

Mom's cooking is usually the gold standard by which all food is judged by.

I'm glad you've had a great life. Now want to have a great afterlife? Plan for it, accept Jesus. ;)

Well said. Planning for this life which comes to nought means nothing compared to where you spend eternity. Problem is people don't believe that and when you try to advise them of this lovingly they think you are delusional, brainwashed, trying to score points or plain crazy. As a friend once said 'what to do"

After Life is a nice thought but defies logic.
You know that this is a Christian site right? A finite being that surmises that because something cannot be grasped by it then that thing therefore is not a reality seems "illogical" when our knowledge is finite. Nothing could be more logical that scripture "could" be true due to the limitations we are under. Intellectual assent isn't salvation however.

Consider all the things that were said to be impossible and later disproven. I just read recently that the phrase "Blue moon" used to mean "doesn't happen" until it was later discovered that a blue moon "can" occur and now the phrase means "rarely ever".

Logic can be quite arbitrary as can mortality.

Do you ever have chinese food?
Now thats the best IMHO. My grandad's rest home was chosen BECAUSE of the chinese food. I dont think he could eat western food well not for long. I expect my mum will be the same.

When I was a student and had meals at the student village all cooked for me I was so happy because I got to eat different kind of food and always had dessert. Not every meal was 5 star but I didnt care I think I was just happy to have hot meals.

I studied for a semester in Singapore and they have really good variety of cuisines..really cheap too. Definitely recommend the food options there too.

the retirement village I worked in the meals were ok but I thought they were a bit pricy for the residents. They were mostly westerners staying there so anything too exotic or spicy was out of their comfort zone. They had an Indian chef at one stage, could cook amazing meals but the residents prefered steak and eggs and chips.

I wonder what you do for Christmas or Easter Don.

as you might know for some christians its a tradition to have pancakes before fasting, to use up all the flour. Some also celebrate passover, where you are meant to have roast lamb to signify Jesus sacrifice.

Do you have sunday roasts?

Also the Lords supper is bread and wine, the bread broken representing Christs body and the red wine or grape juice His blood.

If you dont know what it means I suggest you have a read of the Bible do you have one?
