Not if you live in their time, every evening and morning there is a twilight a period with visible light but no visible sun to see a shadow on a sundial that time is about 18min in the evening and morning. At night the people had to count stars to know what time it was called watches in the night.

does anybody today count stars at night no we have phones to tell your time?

If the day and night was cloudy they pretty had no choice but to guess the time.

Yes it important to know their mind set to know why scripture isn’t written the way it is.
I use a clock.

The ancients were far more savvy than you're giving them credit for.

Adam didn't become a farmer and till the ground or irrigate until God cursed the ground, shrub of the field=farming
Adam farmed the trees like a orange tree farmer

Genesis 2
15Then the LORD God took the man and placed him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it.

No I don't.
I don't have a mobile phone. They are not necessary for human life.
I use a clock.

The ancients had more than one way to account for the passing of time. You seem to be basing your idea of history on Hollywood.

Was there a world wide flood 4000 yrs ago that caused all the plants and animals to be buried in sediment to produce fossils and oil, coal, and gas deposits ?
If there's no evolution then the evidently aquatic creatures did what ?
Of course there was a massive extinction event and some very Earth changing events as the world in Noah's day was very different. It hadn't even rained ever before the flood. During this time there must of been some seismic activity as water rose up from beneath the crust (which is also scientifically proven)

It is also debated by what the word world meant because the ancients often spoke of localized or regional events in hyperbolic terms. One does not need to look too far for examples. Consider the following from the Old and New Testaments:

  1. Genesis 41:57 – And all the countries came to Egypt to buy grain from Joseph, because the famine was severe in all the world.”
  2. 1 Kings 10:24 – “The whole world sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart.”
  3. Luke 2:1 – “In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire world.”
  4. John 12:19 – “So the pharisees said to one another, ‘See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!”
  5. Acts 2:5 – “Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven.”
  6. Romans 1:8 – “First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.”
  7. Colossians 1:6 – “All over the world this gospel is beairng fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth.”
The ancient Hebrews did not think of “the world” as being a spherical globe, as one would today. Rather, to say that God had “flooded the world” would be simply to say that God had “flooded the known world” or “the land”. Indeed, 2 Peter 3:6 reports that, “By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.

Again, evening and morning were the first day

God also when he gave the sabbath said, for 6 days work, on the 7th day rest, just like in 6 days God created on the seventh he rested

i would take what moses wrote literally and not try to make it some symbolic jester that means something else.
Where is the evening morning on the 7th day? It isnt there as in we are still in the 7th day.

This is always fun to see how creation will always have the fingerprints of its creator hidden all throughout the creation.

But the most wonderful, evident, and historical truth of all is the life of Jesus Christ. Rather it be 12 hours, 24 hours, or a long period of time, we are called while it is still today to put our faith in Jesus Christ who repairs our broken state rich in sin, and replaces it with redemption, sanctification, and glorification.
