2 Peter 3 King James Version (KJV)

3 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure
minds by way of remembrance:

2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets,
and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking
after their own lusts,

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep,
all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

You hecklers on here who heckle you’re just fulfilling bible scripture and proving
the bible 2 be true dats all you’re doing so that people who are doubting will be
more convinced by the word and converted.

Proverbs 9:7-12

7 Whoever corrects a scoffer gets himself abuse, and he who reproves a wicked man incurs injury.

8 Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you.

9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.

10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.

11 For by me your days will be multiplied, and years will be added to your life.

12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself; if you scoff, you alone will bear it.

Proverbs 14:6-9 The scorner seeks wisdom but finds none, but understanding is easy for a discerning person. Leave the presence of a foolish person, or you will not understand wise counsel. The wisdom of the shrewd person is to discern his way, but the folly of fools is deception. Fools mock at reparation, but among the upright there is favor.

Proverbs 19:28-30 A corrupt witness mocks justice, and the wicked person feeds on iniquity. Condemnation is appropriate for mockers, just as beatings are for the backs of fools.

Ecclesiastes 8:11 English Standard Version (ESV)
11 Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the heart of the children of man is fully set to do evil.

Proverbs 1:22 American Standard Version (ASV)
22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity?
And scoffers delight them in scoffing,
And fools hate knowledge?

Proverbs 14:7 English Standard Version (ESV)
7 Leave the presence of a fool,
for there you do not meet words of knowledge.

Proverbs 17:28 English Standard Version (ESV)
28 Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent

Galatians 6:7 - Stop being deceived; God is not to be ridiculed. A person harvests whatever he plants:

Psalm 37:13
but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
for he sees that his day is coming.

Isaiah 28:22
Now stop your mocking, or your chains will become heavier;
the Lord, the LORD Almighty, has told me of the destruction decreed against the whole land.

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.”

For those who are saved and redeemed this is the best of times. We have more of the power of God working in and through us then ever before in the history of the church. For those who are not redeemed this is the worst of times because there is so much of the power of the enemy working in the world to destroy people.

"But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short." (Rev 12:12)

"They have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. And they did not love their lives so as to shy away from death. " (Rev 12:11)

Are people to be versed in Dickens for Bible study? Shall I quote French literature? It makes about as much sense. You want evidence of this.

Je suis le tenebreux, le veuf, l'inconsolé,
Le prince d'Aquitaine á la tour aboli
e.

Does this help in bible study?

"El Descichado" de Nerval.

Sounds a lot like something Ecclesiastes would write.

I would suggest the OP Dove street "pastor" take the OP wisdom to heart for himself. He mocks God, Blasphemes Jesus' ministry and teachings, has that pointed out to him again and again, and then points to the people of Christ, those of us that have have pointed this out for his souls sake so that he repent and cease his efforts here, as those whom God will chastise for outing the emissary of God's enemy.
Perhaps that is why his street ministry fails. Because false teachers who are actually agents of the adversary have an energy that we the people of Christ recognize and rebuke.

Having said that I think we should know that if we keep paying him attention, feeding the trolling he's committed to, as someone pointed out, he'll only be encouraged to continue. That would be sin on our part.

You have a point.
Trolling is a sin. Would you agree? What then is it besides stupidity, if we continue to feed the trolling, respond thinking we'll make a difference in their thinking when they're not here to respect us nor scripture?

I think I would agree with that. But I think it can work both ways. To continue posting a theological view that is contrary to another person's view then it can construed as trolling.

Jesus did say though to not throw pearls to pigs and wipe the dust of your feet.
It's a fine line to draw but for me it's the respect of the person but not scripture.

I have a good friend who is a Mormon. I do not disrespect him as a person but disagree with his interpretation of scripture.

We no longer talk scripture but talk about life.

Thanks for that. I would suggest the disrespect began when the Dove joined the forum. If you read the threads they started, I don't recall them every replying to someone elses, it isn't a matter of a contrary theology in so much as it is outright unapologetic heresy and blasphemy. And now of late, threads intended to condemn those who cleave to Biblical Christianity. And we are told to call out those who teach error.

What Is Pelagianism and Why Is It Condemned as Heresy?

Can't disagree with that.
But at what point do you stop responding?

I tend to stop responding to the individual and just post warnings not feed or listen to.
If they don't have an audience then they can't preach what they do.

Yes you are right they do not reply to someone else's. That should raise questions.

Which is what I and others here have done. That's why I'm at a loss as to your point. Because now it seems you wish to address the matter of my doing just that.

Agreed. See above.

I think the questions rightly started after their second thread.
