This is a business deal : China Made this specific virus and was doing clinical trials to create a cure, so that an out break would be
Cured by their Medicine
Imagine the $$$ made by whom ever finds the cure?

There will be less selection for sure... but unless we have other natural disasters, war, another virus.. essential things to live will continue to be available.
Supply lines are not being halted, food production is not being halted, what is happening is ramping up all the protective medical supplies so the people can still do these essential jobs.
It is kinda like a war time effort, places being reconfigured to produce hand sanitizer, more mask, etc all this takes time.

With people panic buying keeping the shelves stock is hard.. what they did Italy to stem this fear and panic was just make it so people went out on a rotating schedule to replenish their supplies.
One way or another things are going to be put in place whether we like them or not if people do not calm down a bit.

I live in California we have over 100,000 Homeless population- that is 100,000 people living with out the ability to wash their hands, using the gutters and sidewalks as toilets, with a typhus out break AND we have had a Black Plague out break for over a year
My question is..Why did California ignore 2000 dead homeless people in the past 12 month ( Typhus, Staph, Black Plague, etc)
and now has its panties in a bunch over this virus?

It's because the economy is crumbling and the ones in the city will be faced with growing food on their patios with quail or something in bird cages from Pet Smart. Maybe even a pygmy goat for milk in the bathtub for the little ones or to bake with.

It might have been different if they would have understood what your saying about providing for their families and instead of chasing the city life thought to obtain an farm. On a farm the economy can crumble and the chickens will keep laying and the mule will plow and and the seed sprout. But now who do we know who has a farm and why?

Hmm how many farms to buy in the world of 8 billion people? If the skyscraper apartments the townhouses row houses etc was reduced to 1/16 acre lots for each person in their community where would those 1/16 fit spread out. not sure if your saying people should have invested in a lot of grass or something else?

If they would have done what they should have then they would have sold everything and gave it to the Church and the Church would have bought land and it would be tax exempt and then they would have tomatoes and milk and water.
