A couple of days ago I was going to say fare well to this forum because my behavior on here. I had forgotten what my reason for joining. I came here to learn, share what I have learned, and fellowship with other believers from all over the world.
It helps to realize what we have here and who we are talking to here. These folks are the very elect of God. These are our precious brothers and sisters in the Lord from all over the world able to fellowship because this technology. What a blessing.
I apologise for being so hard nosed toward any of you who have been to Target of scathing remarks from me.
I want to change the way I interact here. I want to repent of my sin of pride, stubbornness, and harsh judgment.

This does not mean that I will divert from the truth, but that I will be more kind, gentle, and patient in my conversation. That also if we disagree on a non-essential matter we can disagree in a manner worthy of the children of God.

And so now he sees face to face. You are confronting your absences...... I used to call them demons, but that's not appropriate, it's been "absences" for me - An absence of good. An absence of the Holy Spirit. Absence of love.

A friend once told me nobody kills their wounded like a Christian. And it's out of absence. To explain, you and I know heat and light comes from the sun. Heat and light has a source. But where does the dark and cold come from? We know what cold feels like, we know the "color" of dark, we know what damage it can do, but what makes it feel and look like it does? Cold and dark is merely the absence of the sun. And so it is with evil and demons and all manner of pride and judgements and stubborness when in reality it's none of those things. It is an absence of God.

So now I say again - then he sees only a reflection, but now he sees face to face 1 Corinthians 13.

It takes a real person such as yourself to stop and realize that you need to take a different approach to things. Maybe there is some humanity left after all.

like the scripture tells us, 'we are to be straight-forward in our speech'.

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtility, so your minds should be corrupted
from the simplicity that is in Christ.

our personal speech is to be 'honest-gracious-easy to understand=Christ-like at all times,
whether Christ has one turning ove the tables in the Temple or using understatement...

Yeah I don't see your name on your profile either. some of the folks here have their profile set to private we can't see any of their information.
But then it's not wisdom to put personal information on the internet for everyone to see.
I'm not selling anything for you to buy.
So I said that I would not shrink from the truth, but will engage folks in a more gentle way, and it is that which I intend to do right now.
You have disparaged what I have written because I have not provided pieces of information, one of which you haven't provided either. Now in your judgement you fail to see that I have provided the other, you say you were saved in 1982. I say, I was saved when I believed. All I can tell you is that at some point in my live I began to believe, and it was then that I believe I was saved. Sorry there is no time stamp on that, you have the same information that I have. As for my name I did provide some information to the person who can see it. God formed Adam from clay, clay is mud.

In closing. you don't have to accept my heart felt words of apology for how I have argued with and spoken to some folks on here. That's none of my business. You may even attempt to hold me to standards that you have not met yourself, but it's not going to hold any merit. Some friendly advice for you. From a lesson that I have learned. I honestly wouldn't take (oldethennew's) post to heart too much. It was very gracious of you to write a thread like this, though I've never noticed you being openly hostile towards anyone and wasn't sure what you were apologizing for (but admittedly, I don't keep up with the forum as much, and probably not the areas you're frequently posting in.)

I debated writing this in a PM, but since this post that was written to criticize you was written publicly and everything I am going to say is from what I've read on the public forum itself anyway (no PM's involved), here goes.

As far as I know, oldethennew (and please, OTN, if I'm wrong, go ahead and correct me publicly) is a husband and wife who share that user name. If you read many of their posts, you'll see a vast and distinct difference between their two separate posting "voices" -- one is usually very loving and compassionate (and I like a lot of the posts from whichever half this is), and the other seems to be very... Well. You've already seen for yourself. I have seen "the other half" write extremely biting, critical, "You horrible sinner, how dare you call yourself a Christian, we all know you're condemned to hell!" posts out of nowhere, and for no apparent reason.

I have asked this particular personality openly on the forum before what was behind such vicious attacks, and there was never any answer -- to my knowledge. If I ever missed an explanation, please -- anyone who saw them is welcome to post it/send me a link.

I have come to believe that maybe the more... confrontational personality... is going through some things... and maybe things they can't help (heath issues?) that causes them to blurt out such judgmental nonsense that they don't really seem to follow either.

Oldethennew, I wish you both all the best, but I really wish the one who is so critical would put themselves into other people's position (or ask for more information about it) before running them into the ground.

Best wishes to you Loco... We would miss your posts around here so I hope you won't be discouraged, and will be given peace.
