Is it coincidence that on April fools day we're suppose to complete the U.S. Census online?

Anyone else get the mailing that has your Census ID so you can log on and complete their forms? I thought the Census was suppose to be anonymous.

I don't think so. They need to know who you are, in order to count you in the census..

I did mine online. I didn't have an ID. They assigned one to me when I filed.

The only way to get an accurate count is to have a way to identify who has filed.

Thank you all for your input.
I checked it out. The Census itself isn't anonymous. But the employees of the USCB take an oath to keep everything citizens submit private.

The 2020 census raw data can't be released until 2090. I'm looking forward to the release of the 1950 census data release later this year.
