Hey, it's all good, thank God. I just have times when I stay away from the site usually when it starts being a negative influence but it's also positive so I go back and forth. Glad some old members are still around, so many people left
I used to be cmarieh if that helps jog your memory. Yea there was a lot of stuff that happened on my end that caused me to leave this site for a period of time so I can get things straightened out. But I understand about the influences this site leaves. But I am super glad you are doing great. I still stay in contact with some of the old members but I will be honest its been a while since I talked to them because life happens lol. But anyways I always wanted to thank you for always being a positive light to me when I was on here. I was struggling really bad with some things and your pms always encouraged me.

Me after 2 cups, lol.

@Bbrdrd prayers lifted. Hope you are ok.

Thank you, I should be fine but my wife and I are hypervigilant right now. It's a mental condition that I deal with, though like all battles the real battle is spiritual. My biggest worry right now is landing in the hospital, especially with all that's going on in the world. But at the same time I want to make sure that I go in on my terms and not when it becomes absolutely necessary.

That can not be easy, if you do need to go in, I too want you to go in on your own terms. I sure do like that you and your wife are taking care to take care, especially of one another. Thank you for sharing. I will def be praying for you and your wife. Hey, keep us posted if you are up to it that is.

Lord, please, be with them. I also pray that He and His keep drawing near to You best they are able

Love love love seeing, even in jest, a hubby or a wife showing loyalty to each other. So pardon is given over here. :D!! Ruby, do I have to get up or are you or the tabby lady going to serve?
Well I heard that chef Tabby (who is a she and not a he) is highly stressed due to the influx of orders she is getting due to restricted public movements. So, she hired Wayne to make the coffees and Magenta to make the cakes. So it looks like we may both be asked to serve.

I’m sorry, but one slice already has been spoken for😁.
Was that you that took the slice Susanna? I thought it was the chef just tasting it before it is sent out to the public. NICE move:coffee:

My wife Darlene gets a little busy at times but when she is on CC it is usually late at night. She's a night owl. I used to be a night owl too but somehow, over the years, I've morphed into a morning person which I attribute to my work schedule through the years. I have a pretty set routine and stick to it. I learned discipline during my years of military service. For the most part, they are morning peeps too.
Interesting you should say that because I have noticed that I have fallen back into my military discipline since I have been in lockdown (I prefer to call it forced leave)

Did you notice how fluffy it was compared to my other cakes? Oh, do please excuse me, perhaps you had not tried some of my other cakes? Not being one to follow a recipe, there are no two the same :giggle: After many years of not really baking anything, I started out late last November attempting to make a blueberry lemon scone, which did not turn out the way I had hoped, so I gave up on scones (more or less) and turned to a country bread recipe that I refitted to a sweet bread and also incorporated some of my recently acquired scone know-how. What kind of amazes me is remembering how thin boxed cake mixes are compared to my dough. Boxed cake mixes, if I remember correctly, for truly it has been decades since I attempted one, have a batter that is akin to pancake mix, thin and runny, whereas my dough can and sometimes is mixed by my hand, and I most definitely do not use an electric mixer to blend the ingredients. No, I think if I attempted to mix electrically it would kill the machine LOL, and that actually happened to me one of the last times I made a white chocolate cheesecake :devilish:
