Really huh I’ve never seen a glacier on the equator, what kind of evidence does a earth quake leave behind?

Now I have said what you have said could be a possibility now who is not open to other possibilities.

you harped on me not being open and you stick to your guns interesting, seems this is turning into your right and I’m totally wrong on everything
I am sitting in a place where a glacior once was. I see no canyons which resemble the grand canyon anywhere near me. If galciers did make them, We would see evidence all over the other.

We have seen evidence of a flood of water make a canyon (see mt st helens)

As for earth quake. They happen all the time, where is evidence an earth quake caused any canyon to be formed.

I am open to the possibilities.

I am just saying of all the possibilities, You have not given me one yet which would change my view.

the passage you quoted supports what I said.

by the way, I am retired US navy/Coast guard. So I please understand I know the science and experience of how ships act in the water and in storms. as I have been in them
And it supports the filling up the earth over a period of 40 days in stages like filling a dry dock

how a ship reacts on water has nothing to do with how dry land reacts from water. if you taking about the ark there a ships that can’t move into some ports because it’s to shallow for the keel.

the ark was lifted but it took more water to actually allowed it to go into the open sea

If I’m not mistaking mt. helens was not water that flowed, what the objects makeup can have a impact on how much it actually carved out, hot molten dirt ash lava rocks flowing would be far more scourging than cool water flowing. I think using mt helens eruption to demonstrate water carving out landscape is a bad idea because of the elements involved

A dry dock is a local rectangle. where there are no mountains, No run off. it is adding water to water. I have been through loading docks so I know. You can not even comapair a major local flood with this. Look again at mount st helens..

by the way, Why do you never respond when anyone mentions that flood and canyon formed by that flood?

The ark was lifted up and went wherever the water took it. As far as we know. it could have been days before it even floated to a point where it was over a former sea before the flood.

Again, I can picture what happened. because I know what a ship does. I have even been through locks.. Where a ship is raised,,soo

You are mistaken

What you had was water which was formed by the rapidly melted snow pack which was on top of the mountain.

Lava flows do not form canyons.

I’ve been on ships and worked in shipyards I know also, and comparing a volcano flow of Melton rock and dirt ash etc is no comparison to water flow, that have a vastly different impact on the landscape.

A pyroclastic flow I’d no comparison to water flow they impact the landscape far more differently

maybe your right it wasn’t the melting but the moving of glaciers

During a ice age the glacier at their most destructive size. all that carving can happen in short time

Mount helens has erupted more than once over the years and years. So does lava create canyons they do.

Like the hot ash flow of 1980, no water involved in the carving out the landscape.

which is exactly my point

Water formed the canyon found by mt st helens. Not lava flow.

Lava canyon

When mount st helens exploded. It first left a depost of ash. Which is prety thick, It then, through a later eruption. caused a massive Pyroclastic (sp?) Cloud layer, and the third eruption, left even a deeper lay. All three layers can be seen in the canyon which was latore formed. when the waters of Lake hope mixed with the melting snowcap which combined to form a muddy river of water which flowed down the mountian and carved a canyon of of this area. Forming what today is known as the min grand canyon. although it appears t took millions of years for this to form, it was formed in a short period. The river you see flowing today is not the cause of the canyon, but is the result of the canyon being formed.

See video concerning the strata of the canyon.

I know how they can shape the landscape

Again, I live by the great lakes, Which many believed were formed by the glaciers.

No evidence a canyon like the grand canyon was ever formed by a glacier

where did you read that the canyon and old lava tube are the volcano was formed by water? the mountains is a mountain but it’s a volcano also.

A tidal wave is a good example of what a sudden rush of water creates not much in the form of canyons

The Grand Canyon river is such a river also like liquid sandpaper it carries 500,000 tons of sediment down stream how many rivers carry that much debris down stream does the Mississippi River carry that much dirt and rocks down stream maybe it’s the way the river starts high then low don’t know but it carries tons of debris from the walls of the river.

In the video it showed the ice glacier flowing time lapse the walls is what it has carved out a canyon, by moving in and out of the valley

South of the Great Lakes are mountains not much movement south would a glacier move with a mountain blocking its flow

1. A tidal wave is a large body of water,
2. Ever seen a damn break. There you have an example of what rushing water can cause
3. What did I read about mt st helens. Well pretty much everythign I have read on it says it was mudd or water (muddy) which basically broke through a natural dam which was caused by debri, which broke through in this ne area, and as it rushed through this area, it carved through the ground, and caused the canyon.

Here is what the Lava Canyon websight says caused the formation of lava canyon

When Mt St Helens’ erupted in 1980, snow melted rapidly on her south side and created a powerful mudslide. The rush of mud and debris pummeled through the canyon and ripped apart everything in its path. Trees were leveled and the newer stone torn up. Suddenly, the ancient volcanic rock was revealed and over time the canyon came alive with sparkling waterfalls, new growth forest, and impressive rock formations.

and if you question where I got this, here is the link Click on blue words lava canyon

ok, You have shows one possibility

I have shown another. with a real world example of the mini grand canyon

You go with yours.

I will go with mine,

Here’s another theory I didn’t even consider with the flood and the Grand Canyon, if there was a huge deep water reservoir under the Colorado river when it was much higher than today and the reservoir was emptied under the ground of that area the weight of the ground above it was weakened and the whole area collapsed in on itself creating what we know as a Grand Canyon. the flood doesn’t have to wash out a huge trench but remove what was under it.

Or even a lake at one time but drained and become part of the water being released along with a underground lake, in this video a lake is being drained and refilled but the mystery is why is there more water flowing away from the lake underground but the amount is twice as much than the water flowing into the lake.

You got any video of the south side of the mountain snow melted, from this video doesn’t appear to be much snow when the eruption happened. and I’ve been looking at Ariel photos I don’t see any where a massive Canyon, there are some small channeling but not a massive canyon you got and pictures of the canyon from above the ground not eye level.

Where is the so called mud I see the dry earth sliding down but no mud from melted snow
