  • “He is to me as a bear lying in wait, as a lion in secret places. He has turned away my ways, and pulled me in pieces. He has made me desolate. He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.” (Lam 3.10-12).

On account of our sins, we tend to figure that all mishappen is the outcome of the judgment of the Eternal over us, as if He is lurking in secret place, lying in wait to catch us in some fault.

But Jesus isn’t loutish or captious, as we are used to being. It’s our actions that make for hot potato and predicaments in our life. For this reason, He turn us away from our ways: so that He don’t need to pull us (thoroughly in pieces) out of ordeals that we create for ourselves.

He doesn’t break us in pieces (as many people thinks). If we muse on Jeremiah 18.3-6, we will see that the vessel broke itself. Alike, we are who make us desolate or go ahead until we find ourselves in a place where everyone has pleasure to destroy us for seeing in us the likeliness of Jesus (as happened with the unfaithful Israel):

  • “therefore see, I will gather all your lovers, with whom you have taken pleasure, and all those who you have loved, with all those who you have hated. I will even gather them against you on every side, and will uncover your nakedness to them, that they may see all your nakedness.” (Ezekiel 16.37).
  • ““Therefore, Oholibah, thus says the Lord Yahweh: ‘Behold, I will raise up your lovers against you, from whom your soul is alienated, and I will bring them against you on every side:” (Ezekiel 23.22).

So, if you are being deprecate or derided, it’s a sign that you are in the wrong place. Step back from your ways, go back to the house of the Father where there is abundance of grace and mercy (Romans 5.17) to whom is really regretful and live a prosperous live in Christ Jesus.
