Daniel said the everlasting kingdom of God would come during the time of the 3rd Kingdom, the Roman Empire. ““And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.” Daniel 2:44 (KJV 1900)” History shows that the kingdoms were: the Medo-Persian, the Greek, and the Roman empires. “And Jesus came as a baby in the days of the Roman Empire. He fulfilled Daniel's 70th week as written. “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.” Daniel 9:24 (KJV 1900)

Many say he was a no show. But some knew better. While nearly all expected a Physical kingdom, a far better kingdom arrived. God is Spirit so calling it the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Heaven will do. A temporal physical kingdom will never do. And those equipped to see it know why. “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3 (KJV 1900). The rest still believe he was a no show so they keep looking for an earthly kingdom to arrive.

They say “it does not exist because we cannot see it”. Not knowing God reveals the Kingdom to whom he will. “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV 1900)

This in part is why most of the Jews rejected and killed Jesus. Because he did not match the idol they expected.

And it is no different today. Some say the kingdom arrived, affirming the kingdom is spiritual. Failing to understand Old Testament symbolism, the others say it must be yet to come. Because the Old Testament says it is physical and we haven’t seen it yet. So this is the basic division in modern thought today. Some know they can survey the kingdom while living in it. Seeing God ruling the world with a rod of iron, tempered with mercy. The rest blindly say it must be yet to come.

No, but it helps describe the rift we see between Amillennialism and all millennial theories. The more we understand the more know why the church condemned millennialism as heresy and stood by amillennialism as true to the scriptures.

Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

How could the 70 weeks be fulfilled if Israel as a nation does not acknowledge Jesus as their Messiah.

70 weeks are determined upon Israel to make an end of sins, and anoint the most Holy who is Jesus, but they have not done that yet.

By the end of 70 weeks Israel as a nation must be in the truth, and they will be in the truth.

Jesus did not fulfill the 70 weeks in the first century for if He did then Israel as a nation would be in the truth.

It is determined upon the nation of Israel to take action and get in the truth, but they will have help from Jesus to do that in the future.

Mat 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
Mat 23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
Mat 23:39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Jesus came unto His own, and His own did not receive Him.

And Jesus said the Jews will not see Him again until they say blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord.

The only way the Jews on earth can see Jesus is if they acknowledge Him as their Messiah.

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

The nation of Israel is blinded in part until salvation is no longer available to the Gentiles, and so all Israel shall be saved.

That means Israel will come to the truth when salvation is no longer available to the Gentiles because God always restores Israel.

And God said if the ordinances of heaven are in affect His covenant is still with Israel, and He will not cast them off, and they shall not cease from being a nation.

It states that by the end of the 70 weeks the Jews must anoint the most holy, who is Jesus, and this is determined upon the Jews, the nation, not some people that followed Jesus in Israel.

For Israel as a nation must make an end of sins, bring in everlasting righteousness, and anoint the most Holy who is Jesus.

But they have not done that yet, for they rejected Jesus, and they will not see Jesus until the nation accepts Jesus as Messiah, and they are blinded in part until salvation is not available to the Gentiles, so the 70 weeks could of not happened yet.

That is why Israel became a nation again, and eventually all Jews will be back on their land by the Middle East peace treaty, so God can turn them to the truth, and restore the kingdom to them.

For if not the Jews would of been like everyone else and would of stayed in the nations where they were scattered, and hopefully they will come to the truth from that area, but Israel has to come to the truth as a nation for God to continue on with His plan of the millennial reign, and then the New Jerusalem where the 12 tribes of Israel, and the 12 apostles of the Lamb are written in the New Jerusalem.

And God always restores Israel, for Israel is the Church and that is why they must come to the truth, and when a Gentile is saved they are a Jew inward, and part of the commonwealth of Israel.
