Mine is Joel 2:25 to 27

"25 I will restore to you the years
that the swarming locust has eaten,
the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter,
my great army, which I sent among you.
26 “You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied,
and praise the name of the Lord your God,
who has dealt wondrously with you.
And my people shall never again be put to shame.
27 You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel,
and that I am the Lord your God and there is none else.
And my people shall never again be put to shame."

Because it reminds me that no matter what we did or where we are in our lives.... God hears...
And in His time, everything that the locusts has destroyed in your life will be green again!

God hears... God has not forgotten... and my God will one day make me brand new!

Mine, also, is my signature line. Nothing make a big problem smaller than thanking God for it.

Honestly I love Ecclesiastes 12:13. “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all.”

I’m a person who tends to be very flip-floppy, very self conscious and indecisive...So like something where someone who is wiser than me is able to just get to the point.

Jeremiah 6:16
"Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls."
This verse has come up time and time again in my life. I want to live the life that pleases God but I know that it is possible that the I may not see clearly enough. There are things we've been told by society or others that are not what He wants. When I am unsure what to do next, when I am at my own crossroads, I ask for the ancient paths. I ask God to show me what I do not see. I want to see the good way, even if it is uncomfortable or may not make me popular. I want to have God direct me, show me it is good and then walk in it. I do not need to lean on my own understanding. He is enough.

Jeremiah 29:11 -- "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

I found this passage when I was going through some of the most challenging times of my life, and carried it with me at all times. I clung to the thought that God wanted to give me "hope and a future" when I had no hope and definitely couldn't see a future.

It's very encouraging to read about what passages are important to others and why.

Great thread!

Hebrews 11: 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

It makes it very clear that faith is a must and that God will reward them that diligently seek Him.

Many favorite verses, but here are two:

Philippians 3:13-16 (KJV)

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

It says we do not have to dwell on the past, wc I have done for a long time before, but not doing now by the grace of God, and running straight toward our goal!

so hard to choose.. Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not: for I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee: yea I will help thee, yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of thy righteousness.

I love how so many verses in the Bible exhort us to not be afraid, because God is almighty and He will never leave us nor forsake us

Israel were tough to please, God had to keep letting them go through suffering because they constantly disobeyed and did their own thing.
