His name is Christian..
Yeap, some people’s names are ‘Christian’, for example, my nephew :)

But what don’t you understand about his post?

You're sparated. That's what it says in your profile. By separated you mean you're married, but living apart from your wife?

If that be the case, you have no business asking advise on how to meet another woman.

I am 33 as well. My main issue is going on dating websites and seeing them identify as Christian and then state that they would consider to have sex with a partner after 3-5 dates.

I don't believe I am a very strong Christian (in fact I am a very weak Christian), but on those dating sites, I have to state I am very Christian to point out that I am just a Christian.
Christian means different things to different people.

So when someone says they are a Christian, perhaps you have to ask them what they mean by that.

Don’t lose hope, stay in prayer, focus on YOUR walk with the lord, and before you know it... someone will come into your life unexpectedly and bam! You made the connect and met who you’re meant to be with.

It doesn’t happen often, but God does work in mysterious ways, just have to learn to be patient (easier said than done right?) and let him do the work. There IS someone for everyone... don’t care what anyone else says, cause God is good all the time, and it pleases him to see us (his children) happy. 😁

Btw... welcome to CC! 🤓
Encouraging words. Something I needed to hear too. Thank you and God bless. :)

I am aware. I recall a statistic used that half of those who said they were Catholic in France didn't believe in God.

I also read one profile where this woman stated she only cared about her parent's Church, but didn't really buy into Christianity.

I guess what I am saying is there is something called cultural Christians...those who grew up attending Church because their parents made them attend, but never really cared for the actual faith

when people say christian some just mean they attended church when they were little but they dont bother going anymore. sometimes people say they are christian as a defualt term to make it clear they arent muslim or buddhist....they sing the national anthem or take a country pledge or something and assume when people talk about God is the same everywhere. But hindus also talk about God.

You kind of have to ask them the question about who they believe Jesus is and if they find that too hard to answer or dont have a testimony you could probably then tell them the gospel again.

what is it with separated people trying to find someone on the side. Thats just silly. why not work on your own relationships you already have, with your family who needs you.

I'm 56 and I did'nt understand one word of what you were saying... LOL....
The gist of it seems to be that dating sites are extremely unreliable for getting to know other Christians, as even those who claim to be Christians, many of whom may in fact simply be a "nominal Christian" say such things as they are open to engaging in premarital sex after a few dates. In order to hopefully avoid these types of people, @NestForASparrow has opted to say they are "very Christian" in an attempt to convey the idea they are not simply a nominal Christian :) Does that help?:geek::giggle:

You are welcome :) Many in western first world countries were born into Christian homes; Catholicism is the largest religious group in 35 states (as of 2015) comprising 25% of the overall population, and in Canada, 39% of the total population identify as Catholic (as of 2011) {I looked it up :D}. I was also born and raised in a Catholic home, but dropped any semblance of attempting to adhere to the "church" as a teenager. Some seem to think that being baptised as a baby and going to church makes them a Christian  My conversion "happened" when I was 49 :geek:

Well Magenta, I am Catholic born and bread. LOL. I know that there are about 80% of Catholics that live in the "secular society." And I did what most catholic boy's did after 18 yrs of mass. Left. (first on my list.Lol.)But God never left me (thank God! Lol.) And I also believe at baptism the seed was planted and has grown in my heart and sole ever since. I will admit that it was only after having my daughter that I try to walk in the way's of the Lord. So I think I get your path. God bless!...

So how do you all do it? My state is fairly difficult to find fellow Christians. Not really able to date within the church as there really isn’t anyone there in my (we will say range for lack of a better word).
I’ve tried online sites, and most of them have awful or fake people. It’s like pulling teeth.
Obviously staying in the word and prayer, I know God will bring someone to me, but I it isn’t going to just drop through my roof while I’m sitting on my couch haha. And let’s be honest... this isn’t 1955, you don’t go to the grocery store to pick up the ladies.

Any advice?
As far as picking up ladies at the grocery store, you just never know when you are gong to meet your future wife. She might bump into you while you are in the produce aisle thumping the honeydews to see which one is ripe.

You are wise to pray about this and you have the right attitude in that your not going to simply wait for God to drop a future wife in your lap. Something like this requires prayer and then being ready to take bold decisive action if an opportunity should arise. I met my wife, who is also a member on this site shortly after I joined in 2014 and we were married by the end of the year.

Actually, I like the year 1955 as that was the year I was born.

Glad to have you as part of our community. Welcome to CC.

My guess, seeing as we have free will, God gives us opportunities, and we either open the door or we close them. This is why people end up alone. Or at least one of the main reasons
I believe that the main reasons that people remain single and alone is fear of rejection and fear of commitment. I would say that you have neither of these two fears.

Ya I have noticed how that works if I think or say something bad is going to happen it just does and I'm like seriously!? Honestly I admit it would be amazing to find the one for me but I come with baggage and complications I just fear even if I did I would only be a burden
We all come with baggage my friend. I had considerable baggage when my wife to be found me. She prayed about it and it was put on her heart to take bold decisive action. I took the same type of action.

"I had second thoughts at the start.
I said to myself,
Hold on to your heart.
Now I know the woman that you are,
You're wonderful so far,

And it's more than I hoped for..."

Rather than being a burden you may prove to be a blessing. Either way, a prospective relationship that may lead to marriage is a calculated risk regardless of how desirable the person may appear to be. Eventually, you have to let the dice fly from your hand and see what happens. Or remain alone. It's a choice really.

It's amazing anytime a couple find true love.

Yep love is a risk but one worth taking. When stephanie and I were together I had never known love before. I had dated before never experienced actual love and even with the heart break I went through my love for her will never dwindle. You should see the looks on my families faces when they talk bad about her, they called her horrible things and I instantly lashed out in fury protecting her honor even after it all.
I am meek in nature so the look of surprise on their faces was if not in that moment amusing. I agree that it is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all because I never would have learned the depth of the kind of love I could have with someone if it were not for Stephanie and for that I will always be grateful to her.

I was born and raised a Catholic. One time a mean nun slapped my wrist with a ruler. I don't remember what precipitated that but I'm sure that I had it coming. Fount the whole ordeal somewhat amusing like it was a badge of honor or something like that. I no longer attend mass due to conflicts of doctrine with scripture but I had attended well into my 30's.

A rebel Jerry? no way:eek: Glad I never met you when I was that age I was very impressionable back then. Btw are nuns always so angry and hateful like they make them in the movies? I mean it seems more like child abuse

Yeah, Physical was truly a thing when we were growing up. I did'nt attend Catholic school but my teacher's were very strict. I got the ruler to my hand in second grade by miss Taylor.
In middle school we got the paddle. That was no joke! I think the school system outlawed this when I was in grade eight. As far as mass, It's hard for me to explain. I truly feel God's presents when I'm in church. I have since I was a young child. And as far as conflicts with doctrine. That is what the men's meetings are for..Lol....
