Hi, I'm in lockdown in the UK and feeling rather invisible and disconnected right now and struggling with self-isolation. Would like some christian friends I can share my feelings and insights with at present to help me (and you!) through this pandemic and keep the discouragement away.

Welcome to CC, Chris!
While I can't exactly relate to the feelings you're experiencing, I can tell you that some here can. It's certainly a strange time, but a good one to be reaching out. I hope you find some friends here. Check out the Singles forum; it's usually good for that purpose. The live Chat app is also good for that, but you'll need to download that separately. :)

Hello Chris, we are glad that you have joined us. Yes, about the whole world is in some phase of a lockdown. Who would have thought 3 months ago that most people are now only going out when they need to buy the essentials and most world economies are at a stand still. Many times in life we take our blessings for granted until we lose them.

But our Heavenly Father is a just God. He will get us through all of this....and we at Christian Chat have each other to encourage and interact with.

Look through the forums here to find a thread to chat with others or start your own thread. What are your hobbies?

The UK is a most beautiful country. What area do you live in? I've always wanted to walk Hardian's Wall, live with a family in the Orkneys, visit Stonehenge again and spend about a month inside the British Museum. Is halibut or pollock the best fish for fish and chips (forget the calories)? We look forward to chatting with you. Welcome to Christian Chat! :)

PS: While on active duty in Germany many years ago, I was attached for sometime to a British Parachute Regiment in Aldershot. Yes, I must admit, those Brits are OK.

Hello @UKChris, welcome to CChat :) These are both tough and bizarre times, and quite frankly, unlike anything that I've seen or heard of in my nearly 64 years on this planet of ours.

You've come to a great place to find Christian friends however, to both encourage and to be encouraged, so I look forward to seeing you and talking to you out on the other boards as well.

God bless you! (e.g. Numbers 6:24-26; cf Romans 8:28; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, 23-24)

Hello Isny, thanks for the welcome. Are you in the UK too? Or live in another part of the world? I live in the south. Yes, it is a beautiful country and I am a bit sad I missed the bluebells this Spring, but I did see some growing along the nearby footpath - heaven will be much better. I'm just trying to go with God's programme at the moment and be happy in Him. He is always good and is doing amazing things despite what we see around us. Not sure about the fish - I am missing fish at the moment as I am not shopping but relying on others. I have to get gluten-free and I love gluten-free cod with chips. However the Lord is providing me with food miracles when I need them. Must go now to get some lunch. God bless.

Just a quick 'hi' and thanks for the warm welcome - must go and grab lunch now as I missed breakfast - as Jesus said: "I'll be back soon"!
