The reason I asked is because my uncle who ( fought in Vietnam ) was in the Marine Corps had a very different Creed. " Corps, God, Country"...
What does that have to do with my post? Same Corp...served in the 80's and I am still very much a Marine at heart, but a rock solid believer as well....and as far as the country.....a Gentile world power that had/has Christians in it.....so ????

One thing for sure you have definitely beat both the demand and the supply side! :D
Amen......very biblical to prepare for the evil coming.....some biblical examples

a. God reconciling world to himself before he created the world

b. Noah

c. Joseph ->Egypt ->Save Israel

d. Joseph ->7 years of famine prepared for before hand (see c)

Etc.....many other examples throughout the O.T. and some in the N.T.

I need to stock up on cleaning supplies. Last week the cleaning supply aisle at Walmart was only partially stocked. It was still slim pickings there. Paper towels and toilet paper was probably 3/4 stocked so it appears the toilet paper crisis has abated.

A weatherperson for the local news says that Floridians should start stocking up on supplies for the hurricane season. Hopefully, no one was watching or stuff is going to disappear fast once again. Not the smartest thing to say that's for sure. That's how this nonsense starts.
Floridians should know the drill being as you have this every year..

Was at Wally World yesterday....Toilet Paper isle was still empty except for a handful of some generic 4 pack of super small loose rolls.....and meat isle seems to be half empty....

Being a prepper though....I do not need TP....been stashing for 13 years ;) Haha
I never really considered myself a prepper but someone who was always prepared for unseen circumstances.

I guess every area is different.

My local Walmart as well as other stores went for weeks with no, zero, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, had sanitizer, ETC.
Other product was also in short supply.
A few days after the lockdown is lifted, the shelves are overflowing with product.
Does seem a little fishy to me.

For weeks now, during the lockdowns, many shelves in local stores were near empty. Even Walmart.
Went to Walmart today, and surprise, surprise, the shelves were full again. I mean everything. Cleaning supplies, toilet paper, even hand sanitizer.
Something is fishy here.
Lockdown ends and suddenly no more shortages.
An employee told me there was never a shortage of toilet paper for example and that they get it everyday. That they are running out simply because people are scared and hoarding it.

I'm not sure if that's completely true now especially with the meat situation, however places seem to be stocking up. I know people here were stocking up on baby wipes since toilet paper was gone. That's a pretty low move, and they're not flushable so...🤔

There is not a shortage of meat - beef, pork or chicken. Because of the way the supply chain is set, there is a shortage of cutters that actually know how to process. We have come far since the days your local butcher dealt with hanging beef quarters.

What's happening now is disturbing and sad. Google the words below

depopulate meat supply

I live in Colorado. Trust me, Our meat packing plants are at a stand still. They finally got this " testing thing resolved. But it's going to take a while. We supply about 7 states...

I hear ya! This situation is irritating me to no end because I was trained how to butcher back in the 1970's. The cutters in your local grocery wouldn't have a clue where to start if faced with a hanging beef quarter.

It's easy for me to understand just how covid spread so quickly in the plants. Low temp, low humidity and a strong air flow from the refrig units combined with workers being almost shoulder to shoulder - very conducive for a quick spread of the virus. Add to that many of the workers also live together.

I had a link to a story concerning a South Dakota pork plant that had shut down due to employee sickness that reopened only to put down 13,000 hogs per day with no more than 20 employees on hand. What a waste.

I'm with you. I did'nt work in the meat dept, but I respected what they did. Even in Grocery. The people these day's don't know what work was. LOL. We worked our butt off from the time we got there to the tome we left. I felt That I had accomplished something in life. I made a difference. Cool feeling.
