He could just come into the Bible Study room and start chatting on mic. People who are familiar with his voice could verify I suppose.

Yes, it's really me, Matt Slick from CARM.org. Go here for verification: https://carm.org/christianchat

I have read in some of the threads that I need to go to the voice area, I don't know where that is and I can't seem to find it. Also suggestion has been made to go to the Bible study room, okay, where is that? I can't seem to find that either.

Sorry, I don't frequent forums very often since I prefer live voice chat.

I have also been blessed by carm. I would frequent the site often when I left Catholicism and was saved about 7 years ago. Excited you are here.

Alright I found out how to use it all, the chat system is very unfriendly. Yet to pay money to be able to talk and I don't think it's worth it and that style of room. Use other chat systems like discord and paltalk. Anyway, Just checking things out.

I'm glad you left Catholicism and, hopefully, have found true salvation in Jesus.

What do you make of the recent departure of Ravi Zacharias? A great Christian apologist and one who influenced a lot of my own thinking growing up.

I downloaded and installed the chat app, but can't find it. I guess I do not understand how it works. Does it integrate into these forums or is a standalone program on my PC?
It is a stand along program and should have a shortcut on your phone or pc (depending on which you installed)

Once you install the app on the phone or windows pc and open it you will get the option to login with or without webcam, audio, mic features. Once you make your choices and login You will automatically enter into the Bible Study room

I found it and managed to get in and do some talking. But, unfortunately, is not a very user-friendly system. I was able to talk at first and then people started talking and I couldn't get a word in edge wise. So, I just kept using my speech recognition program in text. Nevertheless, I was hoping to be able to answer questions. Someone on the radio show mentioned this place and so I thought I would take a look around.

Please take time to become accustomed to it and to the people. Many of us have been here for over 10 years and it is a wide variety of believers from all over the world. Many are immature, many are feeble minded, some are mentally ill, some are intellectual giants, all mixed up together in a free for all. However there are many edifying conversations. In the default Bible Study room there is a 2 minute limit on the mic and a waiting line which rarely gets longer than 4 or 5 people. However, there are other rooms where longer mic times are aloud and people can meet to have more focused discussions. There can also be scheduled bible studies where the one leading it has unlimited mic time.

I was looking forward to hearing you. I enjoy hearing from people who know the scriptures even if I do not agree with all of their interpretations on every verse.

Thank you for verifying, Matt :):D:) I very much appreciate it.

Many people seem to encounter problems with the chat app.
Perhaps checking the
User2User Tech Support forum could give you some answers?
(The link to that forum is embedded ^^)

I no longer frequent the chat, but a couple of years ago I spent two weeks there before taking a few months' long hiatus. I did not have to pay but it did mean I could not have access to the mic unless there were no paying members in the queue (they had precedence).

Oh my goodness! Thank you for informing me of this

Ravi Zacharias was a wonderful apologist who reached many people in his ministry :)

My sincere condolences to the family, friends, and all who loved this man of God.

Was amazed it wasn't mentioned anywhere on the forum. Didn't see a single post mentioning his name. The guy was one of the leading Christian apologeticists in the last 50 years.

Perhaps you could make a memorial thread? I am not in the habit of doing so :geek:
