Now may The God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

My understanding is we can resist temptation before it turns into sin. Jesus tells us to ask God not to lead us into temptation in our prayers.

I think we must do all we can to ‘take every thought captive to obey Christ’. However, it’s a difficult concept, as is resisting temptation...but, what if The Lord removed temptation entirely (so we didnt need to try?) ...what if He did it for us?

I think he uses sin so we build character as we resist it. The battle is continuous and our flesh wicked beyond belief. But we develop new habits as we learn to overcome the impulses.

He does indeed use things like temptation to help us grow, if he took everything difficult away we would not grow stronger. If a man who labors everyday shakes yopur hand you notice his skin os rough like leather his grip is strong compared to one who never worked a day in his life with soft skin no grip or strength in his shake.

This is likened to us as well, if he removed every hardship and trial to overcome we would not grow tough.
We may not be able to completely overcome the temptation of sin but we can fight the good fight

Our spirits are made alive IN CHRIST when we believed and were saved and sealed with God's Holy Spirit.

As our minds are renewed with the Holy Spirit and the Word we are transformed into the image of Christ and His Mind is becoming more and more our mind.....This transformation is the process of sanctification which is also the restoring of our soul. It is the "work of the Holy Spirit" in every believer - we just need to believe by faith and cooperate - stop resisting, quenching, grieving and neglecting the Gift of the Holy Spirit.

We really need to spend time reading the Bible and/or listening to the audible Bible and asking the Holy Spirit questions and to teach us and help us grow and mature.

Our bodies will be redeemed when we are resurrected out of our graves - our bodies will be changed in the twinkling of an eye - celestial immortal beings - just like Jesus's body when He rose from the dead.

Thanks for posting that scripture! I love it!(y)

Are you trying to define what sanctification is? Or how we are sanctified? Could you please clarify....

Most Preachers have no problem with mentioning The life of Christ, His miracles and good works...but if Jesus Christ had come and done all the things and not been Crucified and made the Sacrifice, there could be no one that can be saved. None of His miracles saved a person. The majority of Preachers are ok with preaching Jesus only, but Paul clearly said, we preach Christ Crucified. It was Jesus Christ act at Calvary that saved mankind. Paul didn’t say we preach Christ the miracle worker. He didn’t say we preach Christ the sick healer, but we preach Christ Crucified. Therefore, if the Preacher is not pointing every “jot and tittle” of the word of God to Calvary, Christ becomes of no benefit to the Believer. If the Preacher doesn’t believe this or understand this, it becomes a wasted sermon without power of the Holy Ghost. The Preacher must preach Christ Crucified only. And the Believer Faith must be placed and maintained exclusively in Christ and Him Crucified to receive Grace, the benefits of this resurrection life. Deny yourself and take up your cross.

I think blameless can be referring to human standards, its impossible to be blameless according to God's. We will all sin.
