True, but Messiah the Prince has come. You are postulating some future event and ignoring the blatant truth that He has already come.

Because you are disagreeing with the standard interpretation, the onus is on you to explain every aspect of the passage in a way that is consistent with your view. You have a long way to go to accomplish that. Speculating on supposed future events doesn't accomplish that.

Obviously you have never read Nehemiah and his request to Artaxerxes to go and rebuild Jerusalem. Since this request was around 445 BCE, then 70 literal weeks would find no fulfillment, one being the Anointed One being cut off at the end of the sixty ninth seven.

By the way, I don't need to keep my ears and eyes open, because the command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem was given back in 445 BCE. And it was restored in 7 seven year periods or 49 years. Following that 62 seven year periods, at the end of which, the Anointed One was cut off, which was Christ crucified. The last seven years will begin after the church has been gathered and will usher in God's wrath. In the middle of that seven years is when the abomination will be set up. And at the end of the seven years is when the Lord returns to the earth to end the age.

And that is how it is going to take place, regardless of your imaginary, self created, spiritual interpretation.

That doesn't make sense. Jerusalem was destroyed by the Babylonians. Artaxerxes' command was given when the city was not fully rebuilt. It would have to be destroyed again in the near future and then a command given to rebuild it. Any other untenable speculations you want to posit?

The word, "literal" isn't in the text, but you're reading it as though it is. You're overlooking the fact that the fulfillment of prophecy does not always fit our ideas of how it should.

The scripture states very clearly "Street" "Wall" in the singular, it's not even hinting at Jerusalem as a whole.

Israel as a nation has 70 weeks to make an end of sins, and anoint the most holy who is Jesus, so by the end of that 70 weeks Israel as a nation will be in the truth that Jesus is their Messiah.

Which they are not in the truth yet for Jesus came unto His own and they rejected Him.

And Jesus said the Jew's house shall be desolate until they say blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord.

Which Israel is blinded in part until salvation is no longer available to the Gentiles and so all Israel shall be saved.

So the 70 weeks could of not been fulfilled for Israel as a nation is not in the truth.

How can the 70 weeks be future if it involves Jesus being cut off, but not for himself, but to take away the sins of the world.

Also how can the covenant be for only 7 literal days.

Also how can all that take place in 490 literal days, which is 1 year, and about 4 months.

We know that 69 weeks have passed back in the first century.

But how can the last week be fulfilled if the nation of Israel did not get in the truth that Jesus is their Messiah, and because of that God allowed the Jews to be scattered in to the nations which they could not come to the truth until they were back on their land.

Which Israel became a nation again but they still are not in the truth.

The last week is 7 years and is future, and will start when the New Age Christ establishes peace in the Middle East between the Jews and Palestinians, which America has been working on that for years.

And is the time that God causes all people that do not love Him to follow the New Age Christ, and brings Israel to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah.

Which the first three and one half years salvation is available to the world.

The 10 horn kingdom, the world split in to 10 sections failed at obtaining peace on earth, and they turn to the New Age Christ as the solution to have peace on earth.

When they worship the beast and take his mark then salvation is no longer available to them, and the fulness of the Gentiles have come in.

God will then turn the nation of Israel to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah and at the end of the last three and one half years Israel will be in the truth.

During the last three and one half years the beast makes war against all people world wide who hold the testimony of Jesus, which is the great tribulation, and then the saints that remain Jesus gets off the earth.

How can the 70 weeks be fulfilled if the nation of Israel is not in the truth that Jesus is their Messiah, for 70 weeks are determined upon them to anoint the most holy who is Jesus which they have not done that yet.

It means Israel as a nation must be in the truth.

Which God said after the Jews bear their shame for their sins and iniquities against Him that He will restore the kingdom to Israel and they shall always be in the truth from that day forward, and never stray again.

Which they are not in the truth so this is a future prophesy, which Jesus said the Father will restore the kingdom to the Jews in His own time.

The 70 weeks are 490 years, for 490 days does not make sense, and that the 70 weeks is in the future does not make any sense.

There is only 1 week in the future for it will be the time that Israel will be in the truth.

Below in Daniel 9:24-27 we see 70 literal future weeks or 490 days.

That is NOT 490 days but 490 years.

490 days is just one year and 4 months. That would drive the prophecy to absurdity.

The Hebrew states "seventy sevens (shabua)" or seventy heptads, which has been translated as "weeks" but those are weeks of years.

1 week = 7 years.

70 weeks = 490 years.

Unless you can do simple math.
