Jackrosie,
I know they get personal. Been around the ball park.

But maybe there are those reading who want to know if there is more than being saved and going to heaven. I’m here to tell them that there is a lot more. If they want more, I can tell them how to get there
"I’m here to tell them that there is a lot more. If they want more, I can tell them how to get there."

Indeed you are. You wouldn't be trying to start your own little cult would you?

I believe the words of Jesus who said at least at one point in history many will fall away from the faith.

Now I know the OSASERs, some, will hate me for saying that.

History has no bearing as to whether one can fall away from the faith, as in lose salvation.

It is either scriptural or it is not.

And it is not scriptural... Not Truth

You have not Misunderstood her my friend. Listen closely. And you will find out what the rest of us have learned
See Pulie, they misrepresent and do not understand me. Don’t believe their report about me. Doesn’t matter how much I wrote works don’t earn salvation.

I never said anything close to
that. It is untrue and I never said that but the others accuse me of saying so. But thanks for posting this. Means a lot to me.

I will tell you what I do say,
I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings. This cannot be done outside of obeying Him. It is not a gift but it is not earned same as no one earns their spouse but neither are they going to find a mate without some effort. The marriage relationship is the closest example I can find but I didn’t think of it first.
Your welcome dear. We may disagree on certain things but we are still sisters in Christ 💕.

That is also my greatest desire"I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings".

I learned something in this thread and am just going to paraphrase it:
Past
Something happened(what happened?recieving salvation by faith through Christ)
Present
Something is happening(what is happening? sanctification which also involves works/fruit produced)
Future
Something is going to happen(what will happen? The physical body will be glorified)
=salvation
The explanation of salvation does not favor"works has nothing to do with salvation"

What is your definition of salvation?
Salvation happens a person is moved on by the Holy Spirit (cannot come unless drawn) and responds (many called but few chosen and its his will that none perish but all come to repentance) and responds humbling themselves in repentance asking God for forgiveness and the Holy Spirit generates a new creature.

My advise is to follow the last words Mary gave us, “Whatever He tells you to do, do it.”

(Hope they don’t call me a catholic now.)

The last chapter of John declares that Jesus did so much that if all things were listed the world could not contain the books. Clearly Jesus was not murdered for keeping quiet.
This is probably pointless. Let’s move on.

All the best to you!!

I understand you.
Sometimes it's difficult to explain what's in our minds and mistakes are inevitable.
We have all been misunderstood and concluded about each other's characters. But we should not take it to heart because we are not enemies.

We do not maintain salvation by our love for God.

And no salvation does not die.

You need to separate the experiential from the positional.
Who would go to work if experiential and positional were essential workers?

You may find it interesting that jackrosie is a brand-new member, It is fully supportive of every single post of DorothyMae, and espousing ignorance or outright rebuke of all of the other knowledgeable and biblically astute posters on this thread.

I am not much of a conspiracy theorist but perhaps we have a troll tag team working this thread!!??? Could it be?
I have been thinking for two days they need to get a room.....!!

I had to comment coz it seems like I also misunderstood you. If I misunderstood you, then I probably misunderstood "not by works".

Maybe they are not advocating evil, they are just saying that at the end of the day works are not sufficient to save us.

The thing is I didn't hear anyone say that Works do not save us but we should not take advantage of the grace of God and deliberately indulge in evil. They emphasize faith and seem to devalue the importance of fruits or works in the life of the Christian.

I got the impression that they didn't want anything to do with works or fruits.

I believe works or the fruits of the Spirit are as important as our faith in God.
This thread is in regards to works as it pertains to salvation. It is based on EPH 2 and rom 4. Not if works lest anyone should boast

It is a thread appear to
The thought salvation or justification is acquired by works

So in context. You will or should not hear anyone talk about the fruit of the spirit or works which proceed from salvation because this thread is not about sanctification is it about justification/salvation

Sounds like YOU ONLY talked to less than laymen that NEVER EVEN READ THEIR DOCTRINAL STATEMENT OF FAITH, and feed you a yarn about what they THINK their Church teaches. NO THEOLOGIANS, and NO PASTORS, did you even talk to ? ? ? That is NOT KNOWING THEM, that is cheating to gather INFORMATION THAT SUPPORTS your ANTI-OSAS CAUSE or Vendetta, in my opinion.

Like I have told you, EVERY SINGLE CHURCH that I was considering a possibility of GOING TO THAT CHURCH, I THOROUGHLY READ THROUGH and STUDIED their OSAS, Doctrinal Statement of FAITH first, AND then when to their PASTOR to interview him. TO gather information about what they ACTUALLY TAUGHT from the PULPIT; BEFORE I ACTUALLY WENT TO THAT CHURCH. THAT IS HOW TO ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT THAT CHURCH TEACHES.

All you got was, HEAR SAY RUMORS.
