Thank you. I try to never answer a post myself but let the Lord guide only. My ego sometimes gets in the way, sometimes I am amazed at what the Lord says through me.

This site has added so much to my life! The questions asked sends me on a search of scripture I would not have done without the inspiration from this site.
This site has been a tremendous blessing from God for me too.

My account was put on hold years ago for about nine months due to a misunderstanding that happened and I went to different christian forums and some of them were ok one of them was actually pleasent as you didn't have the blood shed you have in the bdf but none of them were as good as cc it has been and always will be my home

I am the same..in the gushing area....I constantly talk to the Lord all day everyday,....it’s such a special intimate relationship...that only a believer could understand.
I do the same thing, I talk to the Lord like as an actual conversation.

That is the only way to do it, if you only talk to him when your asking for something what good is that?

Been about 13 years now I think, only just beginning to understand things (I think) It feels as if though I thought I once understood things, turns out I really didn't.
I still fully don't understand my position in Him, yes I see the texts in His Word, but grasping it in your soul and spirit is another thing.

It takes a great deal of humility to admit something like that not a lot of people-at least not as many as there should be would have that kind of humility to admit that and this is the first step in him really being able to teach us.

No one will ever fully be able to understand his word no matter how long they have studied or how good they are at understanding it because it is an endless process of learning but this is why it is so great you can read the bible a thousand times over and still learn something new, it sure isn't boring that is for sure.

We become a Christian, when we surrender to God heart and soul
I did not become a Christian until my late thirties. When a friend,
A Christian friend invited me one day to come to church with Him. I went
because he was a friend and I had nothing to do. By that one time of saying
yes, God took over my live. Not all at one time of course but over a course of
many years. We do have to accept a little bit of teaching to help our formulation.
I suggest you do read some scripture, some knowledge is necessary but what you
do read, read it and feel it in your heart just as you are talking with your best friend.
Don't read it strictly for knowledge as Christians were born with Christian parents
and are brain washed. They go to churches and they get brain washed and most
never learn and know God intimately. The remainder become puppets and study
the bible as a part time career so they can argue over it day after day. Read it with
peace and love in your heart so can come to a place for the maximum you need to
know is Love the Lord with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself. Jesus
Christ Himself said That is my only commandment to you. It is good for your
soul to read scripture now and then to stay in touch. I don't believe you need to
find a church. Jesus was talking directly to us. If we are serious about being a
Christian we trust Christ and Christ only, everyone else has their own opinion.
God bless you and know that He loves you with all His heart. May His peace
and love be with you forever.

In a way I am grateful I had no one to teach me how to be a Christian when I was saved, I mean sure I knew the basics but only because of what is generally taught but once you become saved the kind of believer you become begins to get a lot deeper and more vital. Even to this day I have had to wing it with him going to him for everything I enjoy sermons and teachings but I also know his voice and that actually is a thing that is very important and lots of people will teach how to do it but in all honesty it is not a thing you can simply teach we have to learn it and know how to recognize by drawing closer to him day by day.

I could write an entire book on listening to his voice as it is one of my favorite topics and I am a writer at heart but no book can truly teach this even the bible can only give you guidelines you have to learn these things by going to him and drawing close to him. it is true that at the end of the day everyone has their own opinions and their own ways of doing things and viewing things but I think one thing that we all can agree on is the importance of that closeness and intimacy with him that is the foundation and building blocks to growing him in all areas.

I grew up with a foster family and the foster dad worked in the church but was a horrible person he would steal from the church all the time and back then I was just a kid I found church to be a pain and boring. I left my foster dad when my mom divorced him and we moved to okc but my family wanted nothing to do with God and for the longest time I didn't either but over the years as my family continued to change and neglect me in all manners I felt completely uncared about unloved and that I didn't matter I was so lonely and that is what lead me to seek him but even though I went to church it still felt fake like something was missing. I was never taught about a relationship with God but I have always been spiritually intuitive even before I was saved I could tell when demons were around so maybe that is why I knew something was missing.

I wanted the real thing I wanted something with him that I could experience and hold dear to my heart and when I did find this ever since then that hunger you speak of has been my daily life. That starvation is like you are so very hungry for so much more for him but it is like he only gives you just enough to not starve to death but to hungrily seek for much more of him, like you are so parched and he gives you enough to not die of thirst but you are never quenched and seek after his waters.

It is both a blessing and a curse because you seek after him with that kind of heart and that gives him such great delight but at the same time it feels like it isn't fair because you don't get near enough of him as you want you crave him you hunger for him you thirst and long for deeply with graons inside of starvation and parchness but it seems no matter how far you go and how much you search it is like you just can't have him like this on this side of heaven

Well sadly this testimony isn't a very happy one it was one with a lot of struggles and being the only Christian in my family even now is not easy. No one in my family listens to anything I say when it comes to anything especially with matters of God they seed is planted but the soil isn't ready to recieve it and maybe one day it will be but at the moment you guys here are all I have for a christian family

I still have a problem with my ego and self gets in the way......

The Lord has spoken through me on another site.....and like you it leaves me amazed and speechless.

Read the Beattitudes, Brother:

That is basically saying, Blessed are those who STRUGGLE, for theirs is the Kingdom of God!

Nowhere did God claim this life would be a walk in the park. He was specific when He said, the world HATED ME FIRST and it will hate us because of Him!

Struggling is a good thing. It's like a thermometer indicating you are on the right path in God!

I know that God allows us to go through struggles because he loves us and it makes us stronger but sometimes I am like can you maybe love me a little less? XD

Some member on here felt gut wrenched for the Love that I have for the Lord and how I gush over him...they said they found it disturbing.

I found it disturbing that they would say such a thing.

Personally I think they are jealous.

Sounds to me like they aren't jealous more like they don't know or understand it. I have to keep everything inside me at home because my family is not christian and if I try to express my love for him they look at me with great concern they tried to send me to (get help) once before

My family thought that about me as well....they thought I had lost the plot when I told them I had fallen in Love with Jesus.

I suppose it is understandable because they are in darkness..alienated from God.

Yeah sadly that is the state of things, even when I was young I was diagnose with mental issues and was sent to a psychologist and my family knows I have brain damage and so they just assume I am mentally borken so sending me to (get help) in some kind of mental ward was their first thought, sooooo ya there is that XD
