It is not the view of sex that is the problem.... God's intimate knowledge of us far exceeds how one would "know" one sexually if I were even to use that as a metaphor.
It has to do with what is produced in intimacy. With God, it’s His image, Sonship. With man, it’s the same but is sons/daughters. There’s no male or female with God but Spirit.

Nothing physical with God. I was hugged one time by God when I was crying over a tragedy in my life and the hug was only for seconds. There’s nothing to compare with it. Is pure love.

I used to be like that but you will grow it's different to be doctrinal than charismatic charismatic can go on feeling feeling it is quite very dangerous as I have seen false prophecying , and people left astray by these such . I believe in the gift things in fact I operate in the giftings I had some very good mentors in life teach me those things the most of it came through my experience with the holy ghost . But it was up to me to fill my head with knowledge of the scriptures which open the doors to the rest then I should know the truth and nothing but the truth so God has helped me the true giftings of the holy ghost are wonderful did you know that when I used to fast and pray the holy ghost has to give me history lessons things I never learned before or ever sat in any classroom or any documentary I used to sit there and listen to God and then we search afterwards find out that all the information was 100% true not only that holy Spirit is showing me things for years and years to come tell me that's the power of God or not and he always announces himself it's not nothing else. I've Witness the power of healing done even through myself I have cast out devils and see when he cast out by others God gives the discernment of spirits thank you my no lying Spirit from a evil spirit have the different genre of spirits. so I do believe in the power of the holy ghost because I operate in it but knowledge must still be learned and this is the truth the word of God says even this... So I respect your way of thinking I was there to before...... I'm watching the different denominations of preachers it's just confusing once please a certain way one believes another way what relieves a different other way but it all that's what I learned about theology.. education helps a lot understand scripture and what the scriptures were actually saying ...
There has to be a balance for sure of both scriptures and anointing.

Ive learned this mostly through forums and am thankful for it. 💞. Am actually strengthened in both.

The post under discussion made a wrong analogy plain and simple.

Yes of course God in omniscient and has intimate knowledge of us.

I enjoyed that site very much. Learned much, but eventually got myself banned. Lol. Can’t remember why now. Was long ago.
You banned... I find that hard to believe, in all seriousness.:D

As long the forum was instructive while you were a member then it is all good.

Of course the Holy Spirit reveals truth but this happens through study and learning from others.

Without a teacher you have no one to correct or guide you and that can lead to a lot of problems. The Holy Spirit works through people as well.

Ephesians 4:11-16 King James Version (KJV)
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

yes, it says that. but you can't trust ministers over God, they teach what they've been taught or what they've decided on or come to believe over time i would think.

but how do you know what this one or that one has decided on is true? or that you couldn't know more than them if you look elsewhere? you don't, unless the Spirit tells you somehow or you already know more than them.

so you have to seek your own way to truth and not get stuck where any other person is currently in their understanding. that person isn't you. seek and you will find.

"2Jesus said, “This is how you should pray:a

“Father, may your name be kept holy.
May your Kingdom come soon.
3Give us each day the food we need,b
4and forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
And don’t let us yield to temptation.c

5Then, teaching them more about prayer, he used this story: “Suppose you went to a friend’s house at midnight, wanting to borrow three loaves of bread. You say to him, 6‘A friend of mine has just arrived for a visit, and I have nothing for him to eat.’ 7And suppose he calls out from his bedroom, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is locked for the night, and my family and I are all in bed. I can’t help you.’ 8But I tell you this—though he won’t do it for friendship’s sake, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence.d
9“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 10For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened."

Luke 11

you cannot trust any person over the Spirit (though many people and sources can and will help). trusting any person over the Spirit is not True truth-seeking (prove All things).

I don’t answer to you...I have posted scripture to support that I was saved with out knowledge from a bible.
Seeing how the first bible was not printed until 1455 that must mean that no one was saved before that. The disciples of Jesus didn't have a bible either so they are goners for sure. I agree completely with your point of view, the bible says that you can know God just by observing His creation that would enable you to make a choice to serve God or reject God.

All I can say is a new born again believer, a teacher sound in the faith was essential to my be grounded in the faith.

I had the Holy Spirit for discernment, to guide and reveal.

One does not negate the other... they support each other.

The early Christians did have Scripture; Jesus read from an Isaiah scroll in Luke 4:14-21; they had the entire Old Testament :) They also had Paul's letters... and who knows what all else. I am not that familiar with the timeline of when what was written to say off the top of my head which Scriptures came into being at what time. Paul was an excellent teacher because he understood the law better than any of them and Christ's purpose in fulfilling it. I also think there is a big difference between seeing God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature— helping one understood from what has been made that God exists, His majesty and might etc, and knowing Jesus Christ. Jesus said no one comes to the Father but by Him, so that would be the best way to know God, because Jesus is God manifest in the flesh :) We were made to be in relationship with God through Jesus, and know Him personally.

I like how wee elephant explains the trinity: God OF us, God AS us, and God IN us. Short and sweet :D

The wee elephant is wise. :). Actually, you are wise too. You are exactly right in that we were made to be in relationship with God through Jesus and to know Him personally. Now, if I didn't have the bible I might still want to know Jesus personally but probably could not fathom why Jesus would want to know me personally. In the bible in the book of John it says that God is love so that is why Jesus wants to know me personally.

I do remember long before I became Christian wondering why people believed Jesus died for them. It was not just that, though, for it was accompanied by a great sense of sorrow and grief that He would have to suffer so much on our account. Having experienced God's unconditional love and total forgiveness did not help me understand either... for it was not until I was approaching full conversion could I grasp it. Oh, the wonderful cross! The song is now playing in my head :D For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Yes, due to His great and everlasting love for us. Thank you, Jesus

Maybe so....but I wasn’t saved..just by observing his creation....it was much more than that....I am charismatic,born again......but I don’t believe everything they teach.

I do believe that God can heal in this day and age.

I believe in miracles.....as it was a miracle that I was saved.....an amazing experience.

God has brought me to a place of having the faith to believe how powerful he is.

Also to a place....where for 28 yrs have completely relied on him and no teacher......he has kept me safe...

He is also leading me at the moment,he has a plan for my life...which is about to come to pass.....I had a vision 28 yrs ago.....

What you do not understand is that the "surrender" is stopping self-effort.
Only if one had engaged in self-effort. I never did so I can’t have stopped something I never began.

And that’s too limiting a view. Surrender is giving up WHATEVER it is you had. Most never tried to be good at all but surrender their lives as a whole.

Giving to God to earn salvation (your obedience) is indeed earning salvation.

Stop being obedient in your view and you are no longer saved.

So your dogma puts God in you debt making salvation a reward.
No, you don’t understand my view at all. I obey because I love Him and want to walk with Him hearing His voice. Those who keep his teachings, the Father loves and comes and makes His home in them. This state of living I love.
