I just gave a verse that shows Arabs came from Ishmael's line, but you deny it and choose to call me racist for believing the Bible? LOL. Yes, I choose to believe the Bible. Sadly, you do not.
Your verse says absolutely nothing about race, and it is not the Bible you believe, but your own racist perversion of it.

And by the way, Ashkenazi Jews, which compose 85% of the so-called "race", are Caucasian. As in they literally descended from the Caucasus region. Even according to your own myth, white people descended from Japheth. They aren't even Semitic.

My Ancestors are traced back to 70 AD where they fled to the Netherlands, from there to Brazil, and from there in the 1700's to New York City. We are Sephardim.

That's an amazing lineage. Yes, if someone traces their lineage back to 70ad in Jerusalem and says they are Sephardi, I tend to believe them. At least Sephardim have some claim to being Semitic. Not that it matters--your profession of faith in Jesus Christ is what matters--but.... I have no issue with people being proud of their ancestry, whatever it is. I just take issue with people thinking they have First Class Admiral Club status in God's Kingdom because of it.

Kinda reminds me of Don Francisco, or aka Mario Luis Kreutzberger Blumenfeld

I'm predicting that there will be Santa wars in December, as such I would like to put forward my three candidates from early.

Yes, I too would like to have a say in choosing another Santa. This current Santa was not elected, and has been in office far too long. I've never received a present from him, but please note that that has not influenced my decision in any way.

Without further ado, I now present the candidates.

Rasta Santa from Jamaica:

Next up is Tropical Santa. He is really from England, but he visited Trinidad at one point and has been there ever since. download.jpeg

Last but not least, Mix It Up Santa. He is an American of undetermined race. He has a little asian in him, a little black, a little white, etc etc. He is also a big fan of Rasta Santa. a2460661256_10.jpg

I work directly with the Police. I am true BLUE! But I am the one who is supposed to see the view from the other angle. And I do indeed see it. And yes, there is white privilege to many officers on the Force. As diverse as we try to work to be, those who make the calls on the fly are still human. And just like I don't back down from them, I sure won't back down from a nobody calling me a Democrat Leftist!
ok let's move on shall we as we said

Jesus wasn't "white". While it's unfortunate that Europeans have portrayed Jesus as European, the truth is that His outward appearance is irrelevant. Sadly the person who preached the message you quoted (Desmond Tutu, I suspect) didn't seem to understand that, and sought to elevate the suffering of Africans above that of other peoples. Why? Does he believe that the blood of Jesus is truly insufficient? If so, then he has no business being a "bishop" and should shuck his robes... and his megaphone.

How do you reach someone who holds a misconception about the ethnicity of Jesus? The same way you reach someone who holds any other misconception that keeps them away from Him: by prayer and the preaching of the Gospel. :)
Dear Dino246 : I can think of NO way Bishop Desmond Tutu would ever make such an unwise and ironically racist statement. There must be thousands of “bishops” in Africa.
Other than that, I support your contribution. Thank you.

A false misrepresentation of baptism will never equal symbolism nor intent....Baptism is full immersion, not pouring water from a bowl and or sprinkling....the only thing it represented was...

A false image of both John and Jesus

A false mode of baptism

We do not chunk dead bodies on the ground and pour or sprinkle a handful of dirt on them!

And to the biblically eneducated and or someone in ignorance, they may see this and be lead astray from the truth.....exactly why I despise this kind of crap!
It wasn't posted as a teaching on baptism, it was posted to show that in different countries Jesus is usually depicted according to the ethnicity of that country. Remember this thread is called, "The White Jesus" not "The Wet Jesus".

I think it's okay to be interested in knowing what Jesus looked like. I want to know Jesus more, and as such I am interested to know what Jesus looked like. We already know Jesus could come as any race He wanted. He could come as an illegal immigrant, and still be God.

He could have come as any race but then if He had done so, He would have contradicted His Word, but God can not lie so He came as the Son of David (a Jew) according to the Scriptures.. Does that bother you for some reason?

Nope. Does it bother you that He came as a Palestinian for some reason?

We are Sephardim.
The Sephardim (Sephardic Jews) go all the way back to the Palestinian Jews at the time of Christ. They were scattered throughout the world since 70 AD. They would be a part of the twelve tribes of Israel. Even though the Ashkenazim dominated Israel since 1948, there were always Sepahardic Jews in the world. And Christ would have resembled them. "He came unto His own, and His own received Him not".

This is important. The King/Messiah of Israel was to be a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Judah, and from the line of David. He could not have been anything other than the Lion of the tribe of Judah. And when He establishes His Kingdom on earth in the future, He will restore that same king David to become prince over redeemed and restored Israel. Thus David's throne will be eternal.
