"Give Me You"

(Lord, give me you...)

Give me you
Everything else can wait
Just give me you
I hope I'm not too late

Lord, give me you
Lord, give me you

Say, give me you
Everything else can wait
(Lord, give me you)
I hope I'm not too late

Lord, give me you
Lord, give me you
Lord, give me you
Lord, give me you

It's me oh, Lord
I'm on my knees
Crying out to you
It's me oh, Lord
I'm on my knees
So give me you
Give me you
[x2]

Give me you
Everything else can wait
Just give me you
I hope I'm not too late

Lord, give me you
Lord, give me you
Lord, give me you
Lord, give me you

It's me oh, Lord
I'm on my knees
Crying out to you
It's me oh, Lord
I'm on my knees
So give me you
Give me you

Give me you
Everything else can wait
Give me you
I hope I'm not too late

Lord, give me you
Lord, give me you
Lord, give me you
Oh, Lord, give me you

I like christian rock, not heavy metal, just soft rock, kinda like alternative, contemporary rock, my favorite is Majesty (here I am) by Delirious, more on that kind of genre, Hillsong united I guess, planet shakers, jeremy camp, some skillet, jars of clay, lincoln brewster, casting crowns, building 429 and alike... so many bands. I also like Rebecca St. James and Kari Jobe. 😉

This is the first chance I had to GO TO CHURCH today, instead of watching in on the internet.
Here the song writer is giving THE LORD TOTAL CREDIT for throwing our SHACKLES of SIN, in the SEA:

None. I’m not a Pagan to have music bless my heart. Only God blesses my heart. Music may make me feel good from time to time, but only because of God’s blessing.

I am sorry you do appreciate GOD's Blessing through Music. My guess is you go to one of those Churches that FROWN on MUSIC,
coming from any kind of musical instruments. Think Again:

Ephesians 5:18-20 (ESV)
18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,
19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing
and
making melody to the Lord with your heart,
20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Psalm 92:1-4 (NASB)
1 It is good to give thanks to the LORD And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
2 To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning And Your faithfulness by night,
3 With the ten-stringed lute and with the harp, With resounding music upon the lyre.
4 For You, O LORD, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands.

Psalm 33:1-8 (NJB)
1 Shout for joy, you upright; praise comes well from the honest.
2 Give thanks to Yahweh on the lyre, play for him on the ten-stringed lyre.
3 Sing to him a new song, make sweet music for your cry of victory.
4 The word of Yahweh is straightforward, all he does springs from his constancy.
5 He loves uprightness and justice; the faithful love of Yahweh fills the earth.
6 By the word of Yahweh the heavens were made, by the breath of his mouth all their array.
7 He collects the waters of the sea like a dam, he stores away the abyss in his treasure-house.
8 Let the whole earth fear Yahweh, let all who dwell in the world revere him;

Psalm 92:3-4 (NJB)
3 on the lyre, the ten-stringed lyre, to the murmur of the harp.
4 You have brought me joy, Yahweh, by your deeds, at the work of your hands I cry out,

Psalm 144:9 (NJB)
9 God, I sing to you a new song, I play to you on the ten-stringed lyre,

Sounds like you have been listening to the wrong teacher, in my opinion.

Do you even KNOW when a Born Again Christian speaks of something BLESSING HIS HEART, he means the Human Spirit that has been brought to ETERNAL LIFE by the HOLY SPIRIT. And you want to attribute that to Paganism, if I read your post right. Believe what You want, and GOD will bless our HEARTS (HUMAN SPIRIT) when we HEAR MUSIC PRAISING THE LORD!

On the contrary, my church plays very nice classical Lutheran music that I appreciate a lot. I think you misunderstood my statement. I did mention that "Music may make me feel good from time to time, but only because of God’s blessing". I am just attributing the blessing to God, that's all.

Godspeed.

Been their, Done that. Do you know why I quit the Lutheran Church? After I was Born Again the Last week of 1977, after I totally Surrender to HIM out pure AGAPE LOVE. I became so HUNGRY for the Teaching of the WORD, I went in to the Pastor to ask him if he could lengthen the Sermons from 15 minutes to a full Half Hour. He told me, that the BOARD of Elders had just TOLD him he was too long winded, and they wanted him to limit his Sermons to 10 minutes. And because of that, he had Put In for Transfer. I tried several other Churches and found a CHURCH that the SERMONS LAST 1 hour. AND I KNEW I had found my new Church HOME! It felt like I was Spiritually FULL of the WORD, every time I left CHURCH, and even Eagerly studied the WORD, and Listened to Dr. John MacArthur, as I could not get enough GOOD BIBLE TEACHING. Where I go to CHURCH now, is an Non-denomination, conservative evangelical style, that teaches OSAS Theology. We have a Variety of Music from Modern to Classical. We Have a FULL ORCHESTRA and CHOIR. As well as a Combo Type Band. My favorite is the Modern style of Music, and it OFTEN Brings TEARS TO MY EYES. Bet the Lutheran Church's Music almost never brings tears to your eyes. Like These:

WHAT KIND OF CHRISTIAN MUSIC BLESSES YOUR HEART?

I am still very fond of Country Gospel. One group that few have ever heard of, specializes in putting on concerts in Churches. The group is called "God's Country Band". I actually saw them twice in a very small community church in a very tiny town called Smartsville, CA. Here is there website with some sample songs you can listen to: https://myspace.com/godscountryband/music/songs

I also love Messianic Christian Music, and the song that is my favorite is "Yeshua Hamashiach": Yeshua Hamashiach - YouTube

Lately, I have been getting into some Reggae Gospel on the Radio Station: LOVE 101 FM, from Kingston, Jamaica. Love 101
I like Hillsong. Listen to Kent Henry too. I like the old fashioned melodies.
