I've found GotQuestions.org to be a good place to start when looking into subjects like this one. Here's what they have to say.

What is the image of the beast?
Question: "What is the image of the beast?"

Answer:
The book of Revelation contains an apocalyptic vision of two beasts emerging from the sea and land to take control of the world. It’s in this vision (in Revelation 13) that the image of the beast is first mentioned.

The first beast is a ten-horned, seven-headed monstrosity empowered and given authority by a dragon (Revelation 13:1–2). One of the heads is mortally wounded but is healed (verse 3). The beast is blasphemous against God and actively persecutes God’s people on earth (verses 5–7). It not only rules the world but receives the worship of the world’s inhabitants (verses 4, 7–8). The first beast is a symbolic picture of the Antichrist, and the dragon is Satan (cf. Revelation 12:9).

The second beast is a two-horned, deceptively benign creature that shares authority with the first beast (Revelation 13:11–12). The task of the second beast is to cause everyone to worship the first beast. As the second beast deceives the world with miracles, it orders that everyone “set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived” (verse 14). It also requires that everyone receive the mark of the beast in their forehead or right hand (verses 16–17). The second beast is a symbolic picture of the false prophet.

The Bible does not provide many details concerning the image of the beast. We know this, however: the false prophet will have “power to give breath to the image of the first beast so that the image could speak” (Revelation 13:15). This breathing, speaking image of the beast will then demand worship. Anyone who refuses to worship the image of the beast will be killed. Revelation 20:4 says that the mode of execution for those who do not worship the image of the beast is beheading. It is likely that the image of the beast is the “abomination that causes desolation” in the rebuilt temple, mentioned in Daniel 9:27 and Matthew 24:15.

What exactly is the nature of the image of the beast? The Bible does not say. The old speculation was that the image of the beast is a statue given the appearance of life. With the rise of new technologies come new theories, including a hologram, an android, a cyborg, a human-animal hybrid, or a human clone. Whatever it is, the image of the beast is the focal point of worship in the “religion of the beast” during the second half of the tribulation. Paying obeisance to the image of the beast is how the deceived people of the world will worship the “man of lawlessness” (2 Thessalonians 2:3) who sets himself up as a god in the temple of Jerusalem.

Those who do not worship the image of the beast will suffer the wrath of the Antichrist. But those who do worship the image of the beast will suffer the wrath of God, which is far worse: “If anyone worships the beast and its image . . . they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur. . . . And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image” (Revelation 14:9–11). The first of God’s bowl judgments is aimed specifically at the worshipers of the image of the beast: “The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image” (Revelation 16:2).

Those who refuse to bow the knee to the Antichrist and the image of the beast may be persecuted on earth, but they will be rewarded in heaven: “I saw what looked like a sea of glass glowing with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and its image and over the number of its name. They held harps given them by God and sang” (Revelation 15:2–3). The image of the beast is front-and-center in the nightmarish kingdom of Satan, but it will not last. The Bible specifies forty-two months, or three-and-a-half years, that the Antichrist will have worldwide influence (Revelation 13:5). After that, the image of the beast will be destroyed, the two beasts will be thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20), Satan will be bound (Revelation 20:1–3), and the Lord Jesus will establish His unending kingdom of perfection (Isaiah 9:7; Luke 1:32–33).

Rev. 13 speaks of the image to the beast.
One cannot separate the image of the Beast from the Abomination* of Desolation (Dan 11:31). "Abomination" in the Old Testament meant "detested thing". That which is odious (or stinks) in the nostrils of God. But this will be the most detested thing that was ever created.

*Strong's Concordance
shiqquts: detested thing
Original Word: שִׁקּוּץ
Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
Transliteration: shiqquts
Phonetic Spelling: (shik-koots')

Definition: detested thing
NAS Exhaustive Concordance

Word Origin
from the same as sheqets
Definition
detested thing

NASB Translation
abominable idols (1), abomination (4), abominations (5), detestable (1), detestable idol (3), detestable idols (2), detestable things (10), detested things (1), filth (1).
How large will it be?
We are not told. But it will probably resemble the golden statue erected by Nebuchadnezzar which was meant to be worshiped by all his subjects upon pain of death: Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. (Dan 3:1)

3 score cubits = 60 cubits. 1 royal cubit = 20 inches. So the total height was 100 feet. It was six cubits broad or 10 feet wide. It is possible that this will also be the height and width of the image of the Beast (the Antichrist).
Where will it be erected?
Within the Holy Place of the future temple at Jerusalem: When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the Holy Place, (whoso readeth, let him understand)...(Mt 24:15)

I agree that Nebuchadnezzar's statue is a type/example of the image and it's size.
But how could such a large image stand in the Holy Place of the temple?

Billions of people are going to worship the image of the beast. Does anyone believe that billions of people are going to worship/adore an image of some statue? Or is it more likely that the image of the beast that billions of people will adore is the representation (propaganda) that will be created advocating the beast's wonderful system that the whole world who are not written in the lambs book of life will worship?

Does not matter what you think, it is what the Bible says.
Read and believe.

Well, it will be real, not in some ones mind.
The propaganda image will be real in the minds of billions of people. These billions will voluntarily choose to believe this false image rather than the truth.

2 Thessalonians 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

It's gonna be what it's gonna be. Real v implanted in your mind - it doesn't matter. Big v small - doesn't matter. IMO we just better be ready. I know lots of people think we're going to be raptured up before all that. But if they're wrong, and we do go through it, then we better be ready. Refusing to bend the knee to the beast better not be the first time you've put up any resistance. Temptation will be very, very strong to go along with it.

Yes, Abomination of Desolation, another description of the father of lies. The spirit of error making desolate the law of faith .Images in the place of God who is not a man .Its what temples made with human hands do. Make the holy unseen place of God without effect. The Son of man Jesus refused to stand in that place and make the work of the father that worked in him without effect. When called Lord Good master . Jesus the apostle prophet gave glory to the father and replied . One is good God call no man on earth God .

The wrath of God being revealed daily points out the abomination of desolation . Thing seen in the holy unseen place of God reserved as his hidden glory revealed in parables.

God shows his anger from heaven against all the evil and wrong things that people do. Their evil lives hide the truth they have. This makes God angry because they have been shown what he is like. Yes, God has made it clear to them.
There are things about
God that people cannot see—his eternal power and all that makes him God. But since the beginning of the world, those things have been easy for people to understand. They are made clear in what God has made. So people have no excuse for the evil they do. People knew God, but they did not honor him as God, and they did not thank him. Their ideas were all useless. There was not one good thought left in their foolish minds. They said they were wise, but they became fools. 23 Instead of honoring the divine greatness of God, who lives forever, they traded it for the worship of idols—things made to look like humans, (Jesus) who get sick and die, or like birds, animals, and snakes. Romans 1:18-23

Yup. My point is that we should practice standing firm from now. Otherwise it'll be much harder to resist the temptation. Example: A guy at work now calls himself a woman. You know you'll get in trouble if you don't refer to him as "she". Do you submit and utter the lie? Or do you refuse and risk getting fired? If you're not willing to risk getting fired from your job for holding onto the truth, then how likely are you to actually resist kneeling before the image?

We cannot possibly know the details of what will happen in the future, nor whether the image will be scaled down, or whatever. We should not even hazard a guess, but as you say, that golden image was a type, just as Nebuchadnezzar was a type of the Antichrist.

Rev. 13 speaks of the image to the beast.
How large will it be?
Where will it be erected?
Is there Scripture that answers these questions>
Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

chi xi stigma
khee xee stig'-ma
The 22nd, 14th and an obsolete letter (G4742 as a cross) of the Greek alphabet (intermediate between the 5th and 6th), used as numbers; denoting respectively 600, 60 and 6; 666 as a numeral: - six hundred threescore and six.

stigma
stig'-mah
From a primary word στίζω stizō (to “stick”, that is, prick); a mark incised or punched (for recognition of ownership), that is, (figuratively) scar of service: - mark.

The mark of the beast is something stuck under the skin to identify the person, and no person can buy or sell without the mark, and a scar of service to the antichrist, beast.

The mark of the beast has to do with technology, for the beast's agenda is there is no personal God to help mankind, and to benefit them, but people's technology and devices can help to achieve peace on earth.

The world will know the agenda of the beast, and worship him before they take the mark of the beast, so then repentance and salvation is no longer available to them, and God will end sin on earth.

United Nations agenda 21, 1992, 179 nations agreed to it, which is a peace plan for the world, but they were not ready to come together yet.

But now they are ready to come together.

Controlled conflict brings about controlled change.

Because of the coronavirus, and possibly another pandemic or more pandemics they will cause the people to take a vaccination with RNA genetic coding, and nanotechnology, which they can also be tracked because of the nanochips in them.

When the nations come together as one to work for peace on earth they will take all people out of the rural areas, and place them in the cities where they will be tracked by 5G technology.

Which will condition them and prepare them for a chip just under the skin linked to satellite, a better tracking system, and can track them outside the city, and can cut down on crime, and find people.

Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

This would have to do with technology.

Will this be large television screens like in New York City, and when the beast appears to speak the people have to bow down and worship him, and if they do not they will perish, for the beast cannot be everywhere at the same time, but by television he can.

The beast is of the occult, and the occult believes in the power of numbers, and the adding, timing, and grouping of numbers, which they believe will give them more power.

6 is the number of a man, or the soul of man, so the New Age Christ assigned the number 666 to himself, a triple 6, for he believes it will give him more power through nature to establish his kingdom, and rule the world.

Sounds like it will be on tv.

doesnt tv have images and signs and lying wonders. And almost every home has a tv nowadays, which speaks. . Its easy to bow down to it you just lie on the couch to watch it.

It might be a puppet or an animation or cgi. I am sure that if it had some famous persons voice doing the voice over it would be easy to fool people.

As for the one who wishes to be called a woman, he is a "sex change" or a "transexual." Either of those is accurate and , I believe, correct. Also you will not have need to use the lie.
