Faith is when your dad or your mom say something and you know it is going to happen.

You know it is going to happen because they love you and you know its true.
You know because when they say things its true because they don't lie.
You know because they work hard to make it happen with all their strength.

When God says something you can put your faith in Him because He is the strongest to make everything happen and he loves you so very much. That he sent his boy Jesus be punished for when you where bad, and pay for the things you broke.…

Jesus did that so God could come and make you like Him and like Jesus and put who he is inside of you, his spirit. So you can do good and not bad anymore and live with God in his house with everybody else who does good and is like God on the inside as one big family forever.

My dad and step dads promised things to me that they did not fulfil. My step dad said next time i see you kids i will buy you kids a Xbox. (i didnt except him to fulfil that because he was homeless) but he saw us again later, with no Xbox. I dont put my trust in men because they let me and would let you down. God fulfils his promises, but as he gives no time limits we could receive answered prayers 25 years from now. God still fulfilled but look how long we had to wait.

I am sorry your father did not instill faith in you. But God is a faithful Father, and he brings us faithful people into our lives to represent him, flawed as may be they point us to Him and He is not.
