OK. So....are you perfect now?
Seriously???
If someone is perfect through Christs work they would have to put on the attitude of not being sure they have made it complete,

Are you busy sinning?

I'm a fisherman......sometimes I fish for fishies, sometimes I fish for men............

And, because not all men will accept His Grace, that's WHY it's called "fishing" and not "catching."
Yes fishing and catching are too totally divergent things.

First person present tense example for a man under law.
Without hope, wretched, helpless and unable to fulfill the law of God even though he agrees with it in his mind.
A slave to the law of sin and death.

As the condemned man cries out who will save me ...?

Thanks Be to God ... For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man, as an offering for sin.c He thus condemned sin in the flesh, 4so that the righteous standard of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

You have to close your eyes really really tight to be sure you dont see this if you want to keep believing the lie that the wretched man in Romans 7 is already saved.

Seriously he is literally crying out for a savior because he see how bad he needs one and doesn't have one.

It OK not everyone will see. It is a spiritual blindness well established in their thinking patterns over time to keep they from the truth and the realization of their birthright in Christ Jesus.

A simple yes or no reply to my question will do.

Are you perfect at this time?

words like "it is no longer i who sin" ? written twice?
like "
with my mind i serve God" or "in my inner being i delight in the law of God" ?

do you really think this describes the unregenerate enemy of God?

words like "we eagerly wait for the redemption of our bodies" or "who hopes for what they already have?"
or "
the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life on account of righteousness" ?
Do you really think all those who where once under the law where unregenerate enemies of God???
All of those people looking at the law and seeing it was good?
Or do you not know the purpose of the law was make sin worse. To expose you to yourself as totally wretched helpless, enslaved and in need of a savior?
To make you cry out who will save me?

For by one offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified (Hebrews 10:14).
Bad translation.
For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. -kjv The Greek holds up the present tense

Ill tell you what.
Ill cease from sin by the power of he Spirit.
You do whatever you love.
I see. You are perfect but can't answer a simple question according to the standard set out in the scripture listed below:
2Timothy 2:24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient,

I do believe that Paul is referring to his life as a Pharisee trying to live that life of externals. His internal battle was something he did not know how to deal with at that time. Then came Jesus and changed all that and the internal power of the Spirit gave him the victory.

Now that being said there is a life of sanctification that sounds a lot like this but it is not a battle that is lost daily to the inclination to do wrong. It is a battle that is won daily because you have found the answer in yielding to the Spirit and some of those areas that you use to struggle with are not even a battle anymore, howbeit there are always new challenges, on different levels of obedience and you continue applying the same victory that is found in the power of the Spirit. Then those new challenges become strong points and you move on to something else.

The following translations also render it the way the KJV does:

  • HCSB
  • NASB
  • NET
  • RSV
Everyone is a greek scholar nowadays...

Anyone can quote scripture and say they are perfect. That's easy. But demonstrating it in your actions is another matter.
Anyone can presume to know how others live their life.

But that is not a wise thing to do.

Pedantry.

Plain and simple.
Who wants to be counted a sacker and a sluggard in regards to the truth of God?
Who is offended at the knowledge of God when its brought by someone other then themselves?

Anyone can presume to know how others live their life.

But that is not a wise thing to do.

I did not presume in your case.

You demonstrated it yourself.

I just pointed it out.
By correcting you one too many times for your pride?
Seriously you are going to judge me for being right?
OR just pointing out what is wrong
