Everything new has somebody claiming it presages the mark of the beast. Remember when it was bar codes?

But if it really IS the beginning of the end... I read somewhere in the Bible where we were supposed to look up, not down or around.

If there is ever an emergency of the cashless type best to save and buy small silver coins. Maybe some gold. Easy to carry and with silver you're not paying in gold if that is all you have for what would cost far less in one silver type coin.
https://www.silverdoctors.com/gold/gold-news/the-dark-side-of-a-cashless-society/

I've heard people say if the end comes Mennonite and Pennsylvania Dutch will be the safe ones. I contend they'd be the first to be attacked because they are self sustaining already. And, they don't fight back. Easy pickings. :(

I hope I'll be long gone from this world before it ever comes to that type scenario. Maybe what is happening now with all this fear and drama going on, media helping to spread the news of course, the whole point is to make us afraid. Then the question is, why?

Fear is of satan, not GOD. It is a force that feeds on itself and grows rendering the fearful helpless or at least weak. We're told repeatedly "fear not' for just that reason. Let's not give into the temptation to fear.

I've heard it taught "fear not" is in the Bible 365 times.
Here is a Maurice Sklar prophetic word, I have followed him for a very long time, taking his words to the Lord for confirmation and been rewarded. I believe He is preparing all of us to for even more shaking , I have heard it prophetically that ALL things will be shaken this year. Bless you brothers and sisters in Christ.

I think we all need to go into farming. Backyard farming. That way, if worst comes to the worst at least we can feed ourselves.

Although your point is valid in the sense that there have been many past speculative marks, and perhaps this will turn out as just another, the Lord saw fit to put this prophecy in a Book that we get a blessing from just by reading it.

I read somewhere in the Bible about mockers and scorners.....

He warns that we may intercede, many events are not etched in stone, we were given dominion and must exercise intercession in Jesus name.

No mocking or scorning, just weary of worry.

This might indeed be IT! Or it might not be. But I'm real tired of all the people who yell their Chicken Little heads off every time a new technology comes out.

this is only my 2 cents here  ..........

About being cashless:
a few months before Covid came along, we were at a local food establishment. The system was down so guess what...
CASH ONLY!!!

I lost count of how many people came in read the sign opened their wallets then walked out.......

About coins:
tonight I picked up dinner from a fave local family owned restaurant. The owner was counting back change and looked a little perplexed. I asked him if he needed coin change (b/c I have a nice collection of nickles quarters and dimes weighing my wallet down- I would rather use it at local places than at chain places that ask "would you like to round it up?" )....... anyways he shook his head and told me no, that they were fine. Almost EVERY sale lately has been with exact or near exact change.

I have also noticed the registers when they have them open, many of the change slots are pretty full......
fuller than they were before this "coin shortage"

sure doesn't look like a shortage of coins around here......

we really are in the last of the last days, we Americans are in the way of the globalist/anti-christ agenda. Prayerfully asking, receiving and the walking out His guidance is essential. America was founded on God centered individualism, not mindless herd behavior. There will be more to come as the enemy of God knows his time is short. Out God continues to pour our His Spirit to us to guide us in this time.
bless you all

Can you imagine going into walmart with silver coins ? how would they know what they are worth?

knew an elderly lady who paid for her fuel oil one winter with silver dollars, "i'm just happy they took them", hope she was treated fairly, nobody gets away with anything in eternity.

seoulsearch is right. If a cashless society is the thing to fear, how will gold and/or silver coins be an answer? In a cashless society, who would accept payment in any of those coins? How would one use them to buy anything?
