This is why Paul said, "We preach Christ Crucified (1 Cor. 1:23)." He also said, "For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him Crucified." 1 Corinthians 2:2 / The self righteous think it is the Jimmy Swaggart gospel.

Holiness and Sanctification are actually the same thing. Our holiness is obtained by faith and trust in Christ and what He did at the Cross. Without such Faith, there is no holiness, and there is no Salvation.

The gospel remains to be the only avenue through which Righteousness is revealed and experienced (Romans 1:16-17), and without the experience of Righteousness there is no Holiness, and without Holiness, no one can see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

When the Believer is proclaiming Christ while forsaking the Cross, this is a form of godliness because they are rejecting the power which is the Cross of Christ (1 Cor. 1:18). Because of the flesh, the Cross of Christ is an offence to most Believers after salvation. Therefore, grace stops and sin begins to much more abound.
What you preach is the Jimmy Swaggart gospel, a corruption of the real thing. It is an inappropriate emphasis on the cross and an inadequate emphasis on Jesus. Your insult is both pathetic and irrelevant.

LINK to everything ordain/ordinaiton:

excerpt.........

ORDAIN; ORDINATION
or-dan', or-di-na-shun (Latin ordinare, "to set in order" "to arrange"; in post-Augustan Latin "to appoint to office"; from ordo, gen. ordinis, "order," "arrangement"):
In the King James Version the verb "to ordain" renders as many as 35 different words (11 Hebrew words in the Old Testament, 21 Greek words in Apocrypha and the New Testament, and 3 Latin words in Apocrypha). This is due to the fact that the English word has many shades of meaning (especially as used in the time the King James Version was made), of which the following are the chief:
(1) To set in order, arrange, prepare:
"All things that we ordained festival,
Turn from their office to black funeral."
--Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet, IV, v, 84.
This meaning is now obsolete. It is found in the King James Version of Psalms 132:17; Isaiah 30:33; Hebrews 9:6 (in each of which cases the Revised Version (British and American) or margin substitutes "prepare"); 1 Chronicles 17:9 (the Revised Version (British and American) "appoint"); Psalms 7:13 (the Revised Version (British and American) "maketh"); Habakkuk 1:12 (also the Revised Version (British and American))

Have you receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues?
I have felt the presence, but my own experience with tongues came long after I was born again. Some come up in a very conservative background where the Spirit is not emphasized. I do like your preaching. I enjoy both Swaggert and Stanley, despite their differences on secondary issues.

How can one emphasize the Cross without emphasizing Jesus?
He manages. The very fact that he capitalizes "cross" is a flag. The cross is nothing but the means of execution; the One who died on it is everything. When I have challenged him on it, he has not responded with rational explanations or plain Scripture, but with dodging, repetitious quotations from Swaggart commentary on Scripture, ignoring, or insults and claims that I'm not saved. I have been unable to discern any Christian character, and very little in the way of personality, on his part.

Frankly, all that is enough to demonstrate to me that he is preaching a false gospel. You are free to draw your own conclusions.

How can one emphasize the Cross without emphasizing Jesus?
Jesus Explains the Purpose of Speaking in Parables

Matthew 13:10-14

10 And the Disciples came, and said unto Him (seems to pertain to a later time when they were alone), Why do you speak to them in Parables? (This portrays consternation on their part!)

11 He answered and said unto them (concerns the Lord's method of dealing with two different classes of people, those who really wanted to know God's way and those who were merely curious), Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them it is not given (two categories are here presented; in which category are you?).

12 For whosoever has (and wants more), to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance (if one wills Righteousness, the Lord wills more Righteousness to them): but whosoever has not (no interest for more), from him shall be taken away even that he has (he not only loses what he could have had, but even that which he has; to those who accept the Cross, they will have even more, and to those who reject the Cross, they will lose everything, even that which they previously had).

13 Therefore speak I to them in Parables (in order to separate those who hunger and thirst for Righteousness from those who don't): because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand (that is, they do not wish to see or hear or understand; and hence by a just judgment they lose this triple moral ability).

14 And in them (those who reject the Cross [1 Cor. 1:23]) is fulfilled the Prophecy of Isaiah, which says, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive (a willing deafness, a willful blindness, and a willful dullness; this Passage is quoted in one form or the other some seven times in the New Testament [Mat. 13:14-15; Mk. 4:12; LK. 8:10; Jn. 12:39-40; Acts 28:26-27; Rom. 11:8]):

How do you define it and how important is it in relation to speaking to assembled groups of God's people or to the unsaved? Is it something we should all seek? Is there a difference between being ordained by God and being ordained of men?
Whomever God calls he qualifies.....having said that....my ordination had about 14 men, was 3 hours long, grilled like a fish with probably 150 plus questions and the combined years of pastoral experience among these men was about 400 plus years, most had bachelors, masters and or doctorates in both Theology and or Bible languages (Greek and Hebrew) with 8 of them being Seminary instructors at the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock, Arkansas.......point being...IMV it is good for one to he fully grilled before being ordained to stand and preach or teach.

God's way vs. man's way. That is what I wonder about. Should it be done by the Lot? Should one keep silence if not ordained?
I think one thing we have been missing is leaders being grown from within the church. Are they any less qualified to lead the flock than a man who is ordained by some institution who does not know the people?

Absolutely. Ordination -- as generally practiced -- is not the same as being ordained by God.

The gifts and calling of God should be the primary requisite. Also creating a division between clergy and laity is not supported by Scripture. Particularly when the clergy are given certain powers over and above the priesthood of believers.
I believe leaders should be called out of the local church body by the members of that local church body. Those members should pray, fast, and seek the Holy Spirit as to whom God would have to be a minister of the Gospel in that local assembly.

Then those leaders become servant leaders in that church. All to bring maturity and joy to the local church. The call of God and the call of man when properly understood should work together.

Absolutely! Those who come from within the church know the people and the people know them. Then out of those home-grown leaders the church should be sending some of those leaders out to disciple and plant churches in other areas.

When we simply place our faith in Christ and His victory afforded by the Cross-and I speak of victory as it regards our everyday walk before God-the Holy Spirit then steps in with His power, and victory is assured. Romans 8:2

I believe both is true, a person can be favoured by men or ordained by God, for example, i believe i was called to be an evangelist, but pastors at my church wanted me to be a church assistant. I am an evangelist but i do the works of an assistant and support the church and people like one, even though i am not one by title. I love my job and take great pride for the ability that Jesus gave to me, and if i received no reward for my efforts i would be just as happy. My brother said the same thing, he is not in faith anymore, he is an atheist.
