Too much of what we think of as "love" is based on our emotions and not actions. Do a word study from your concordance, on love, (KJV), and begin with 1st. John 2: 3-6. Too much of this word love is understood by what I feel, and not towards what I am doing. For example, John 3:16 shows the feelings of God, then his doing. Without his doing part, we would still be in our sins, and God would only have compassion towards us, but without the doing that would save us.
Love is a verb in the sense of God's love, rather than an emotion. Too many are putting the caboose as the engine. Emotions should follow obedience; in other words if you forgive, you receive forgiveness and are released from the harm you do yourself with hidden anger and hatred

In other words, I agree with you :)

1 Cor. 2: 2
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified

Gal.6
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Gal. 2

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:

These verses speak to our position in Christ.

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.

Paul was writing to believers in Rome who were experiencing persecution.

He is teaching them that as believers, those in Him, they are not immune to the sufferings in this world.

Reminding them they are joint heirs with Christ and to remember that suffering is only temporary and their future glorification will far exceed their present suffering.

Sharing in His glory is not contingent upon suffering........................ that is not the correct way to read that section.

We share in His glory because we ARE His children and joint heirs WITH Him.

Romans 8

New International Version Par ▾

Life Through the Spirit

1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you a free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, b God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. c And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

5Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

9You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. 10But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life d because of righteousness. 11And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of e his Spirit who lives in you.

12Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
14For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. f And by him we cry, “Abba, g Father.” 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

2 Timothy 3:16
16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.…

Jesus was speaking to HIS DISCIPLES and said THEY (FALSE TEACHERS) shall be known by their fruit.

We cannot disregard context to hang a personal view or idea on a scripture to make a point the bible is not making.
I think I see what your saying and agree. It is the type of fruit they are producing which exposes them

better still to give the Spiritual view. have you asked the Spirit?

I do not follow a "spirit" that teaches salvation can be lost or forsaken.

I use the correct method of understanding scripture with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

the Spirit can. ☺

So the person who wrote the indecipherable post gave you a trophy rather than simply deciphering her own gibberish post.

Not for nothing but when I post something it’s best people know what I’m talking about. Looks like some people don’t share those same godly, common sense virtues.

Ad hominem...

And she wonders why she lacks respect. 🤔
...and more ad hominem.

Seems to be a pattern.

Oh, and... -------> :)

We are crucified with Christ when we are born from above in Him and we rise to new life in Him.

We rejoice in His victory and are humbled and thankful for the gift of salvation because of HIS suffering.

Trying to share in His suffering is an act of false humility.
IOW you don't teach Christ Crucified just Christ risen.

Maybe put a ? after the sentence.

That differentiates a statement of fact of what you think one believes when in fact it doesn't.

@EleventhHour referred to the following

Galatians 2:20
20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Because Christ was crucified for us...why shouldn’t they?..they wear it out of Respect..my belief.

It is only Jesus's belief that counts.

He has left with His words we do not need symbols or images of Him.

Deary deary me.

Get a thumb down when I make a suggestion to clarify what one has said in response to a post rather than assuming what they believe.

Then the said person who clarified what they meant has not even been read.

Statement made

By @Benadam IOW you don't teach Christ Crucified just Christ risen.

Response given by @EleventhHour

I know the Roman Catholic Church likes to keep Jesus on a crucifix but He is in fact RISEN
