Psalms 8:3-4 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Jeremiah 31:35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:

(edit after I read the previous post: Somehow this thread keeps going back to ants lol...)

When we observe God we become so insignificant in comparison. To some this even may tempt them to think they don't matter. But if you look at an ant, compared to us, would it mean that ants don't matter? And then there are much smaller creatures than ants. Every creature matters in the love of God. We are small but that's because God is so vast.

Matthew 10:29-31 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

I believe that the following also refers to the testimonies and witness of nature:

Romans
1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them.
1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
You beat me to posting Romans 1:20. It is most refreshing that there are members here that understand these finer spiritual truths as found in the nature of God.

I sprayed a few with Raid but these were the 'bad' fire ants in Florida.
We have some in our yard, and they bite pretty nasty if you step nearby. We won't touch them unless they invade our house or porch, so that's up to them, they have a chance to live.

God tells us many things through nature:

Matthew
16:2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, [It will be] fair weather: for the sky is red.
16:3 And in the morning, [It will be] foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O [ye] hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not [discern] the signs of the times?

Luke 12:54 And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.

Revelation 16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

You will indeed go out with joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills
will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

Very kind of you to give those little nasty critters a fighting chance. :)

i am told that "I am a worm, and not a man" in Psalm 22:6 is a referring in Hebrew to a particular worm species, coccus ilicis, used since ancient times to make a crimson-colored dye.
it is the same worm in Jonah 4:7, which is "
appointed" by God to eat the vine that give shade to him, as a sign.

here's an informative little graphic i found, just for brevity's sake -- it is really interesting to look into if you have the time & inclination

My cat actually ate a big slug the other day (this started as a cat-thread).

I love the Bible. But I have to say, if one day I'm walking and all that happens before me, I'm going to have to seriously reconsider munching on the wild berries and mushrooms I found along the way. Seriously.

I have spent an inordinate amount of time in rural settings. Ive spent days and nights camping on remote rivers and waded swamps and crossed many beaver dams roaming in search of fish, fowl and venison. During these several decades, nature has confirmed many Biblical truths.

I am amazed at some “so called” tree huggers that suggest we need to be more like nature. My reply is what aspect and what critter do you want to model your behavior. Nature has its share of good, bad and ugly, just like humanity.
