Is 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory

Heb 9:5 5And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

Rev 4:6And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. 7And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. 8And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

Rev 5:8And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. 9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Did anyone notice that these scriptures suggest that we will inherit that proximity to the throne that the Glory Seraphims have? We have already inherited it, but there is a day in the future when we will be literally see him face to face like these who sing Holy, Holy, Holy.

I doubt it. The 24 Elders, the 4 Beasts and the angelic host serve in heaven. Man was made for the earth (Gen.1:26-28). But you address an important point. Notice that God is in one place in heaven, and has the True Tabernacle to dwell in and be separate. The heavenly host are in another place. What I mean is that although God is present in heaven, the relationship with His heavenly servants is one of separation. The Cherubim on the Mercy Seat are there to defend His Holiness. Psalm 113:6 says that although God made the creation big, beautiful, intricate and made it to display Himself, the distance between an uncreated God and a Creation is still so vast that He must HUMBLE Himself just to look at it. So the Cherubim on the Mercy Seat fulfill a crucial service.

But when we turn to man in the New Testament, God has deigned to dwell IN man. What shield is in place to separate the Christian from an awesome God? Man is made like a Tabernacle. He has a body and the Tabernacle has an outer court. He has a soul and the Tabernacle has an Holy Place. And the man has a human spirit and the Tabernacle has an Holy of Holies. But how does God remain separate to the very man He dwells inside of???

It is a grand journey to discover how this awesome and Holy God gets round this.

I suppose the adherents of the KJV are going to get their knickers in a twist over this...

"Seraphims" is a mistranslation. "Seraphim" is already plural, so "seraphims" is like saying, "angelses".

You close your eyes and your own spirit is in there telling the bag of flesh to move to it's command and it does as commanded. At times you tell it to do iniquity and it does it without question. But then there's that voice inside that bag of bones and flesh that's not yours and it keeps saying to your spirit. "no,do it not...", but we do it anyways and are guilty. That other voice though, the one that keeps telling us not to do the iniquity,,,"is it guilty", or did he tell you not to sin,and who is he?

The “veil” has been torn and no longer separates.

We have access through Jesus Christ.

By the Holy Spirit God can share His thoughts with us, His heart with us, show us great and marvelous things, give us understanding, and exchange deep expressions of love with us and so much more......so much laughter and joy and peace in His Abiding Presence.....:love:(y)
