I believe the Gospel is very simple .
It is the power of God to salvation. Romans 1.16
And that all that one has to do is believe the Gospel ( 1 cor 15 .1-4 ) and you are saved . Saved from the penalty of sin and Guaranteed Glorification. ( Rom 8.23 , Eph 4.30 ,Eph 1.13 )
1 cor 1.21
21For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
Then whilst redeeming the time we should tell others the good news.
That would be the Gospel in a simple explanation ,of course there are many verses to include here.
However i believe there are those that are adding to the simplicity in Christ and distort the Gospel message . You began in the Spirit but are now trying to be made perfect in the flesh . Which we know the bible is warning against.
We have a clear explanation of the Gospel in 1 cor 15 .1-4 but yet some will go to great lengths to tell us we cannot simply believe and be saved . I believe anything extra to this is adding something to the Gospel that is really distorting the Gospel .

Jesus, Yeshua, has taught all plainly that if we believe Him we are saved. Believing mans being as much like He as is given to us each to perform.

Ok I'm not clear on what your saying there ? Do you mean believe the Gospel to be saved ? or just believe him in general ? And what do you mean by perform?

You are so obvious it is sad.

You never seem to hear others but you do correct them after not understanding to what you are replying,.

Now how twisted is that?

Now you cannot respond because you have no idea waht etc. This is a devinite pattern of harrassment, and my advice to you is to invite yourself out of the threads....

it's quite simple what Brother Jack is pointing out -
1JOHN 2:6.
He that says he abides in (CHRIST) ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.
1COR. 11:1.
Be you followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

I guess it's up to each of us to interpret our 'walk' and what it means to each of us individually-
the Judgment Seat of Christ will be the 'big-tell', the final word...
as The Lords says;
MATT. 28:19.
Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of The Father, and of The Son, and of The Holy Ghost:
20.
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,
even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16) To "believe" the gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation.

The gospel is a message of grace that is to be received through faith. The gospel is not a set of rituals to perform, a code of laws to be obeyed or a check list of good works to accomplish as a prerequisite for salvation. *Paul explains why people do not believe the gospel:

2 Corinthians 4:3,4 - But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

This is primarily because the natural human mind simply cannot grasp the concept of justification by grace through faith. It is totally outside human experience, and even genuine Christians frequently fail to understand the basis of our salvation.

This sounds very simple, but it also very profound: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved". The automatic human reaction to that is that salvation cannot possibly be that simple. But God has made it simple, because salvation is supernatural and totally in God's hands.

That salvation is by grace through faith and is not by works (Ephesians 2:8,9) is not hard to understand. It's just hard for many people to ACCEPT. It's a shame that human pride will not allow such people to "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ/trust in Jesus Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation." Instead, such people trust in works for salvation and not in Christ alone. Their hands are full of their works and they will not let go in order to receive Christ through faith.

Maybe som believe that...because they haven’t heard in their spirit from God........he resides in our hearts.....

The Holy Spirit resides in the hearts of believers. (Romans 5:5; Ephesians 1:13) The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment (John 16:8) yet sinful man needs to respond by choosing to repent and believe the gospel. (Acts 11:17,18; 15:7-9)

The Holy Spirit resides in the hearts of God's children. But He convicts and convinces those who are not saved when they hear the plain and simple Gospel. So they all "hear" from the Spirit. Whether they respond to the Gospel and obey the Gospel is another matter. It is only after repentance and faith that people receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38).
