not sure how this will be received in this forum I’m new here haven’t gotten a feel for the environment yet .

God bless you do you have a favorite section , teaching or event in the gospel that offers something of value in understanding to discuss or share ? I would love to discuss our Lord Jesus Christ according to the gospel that is written

Jesus is God.

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

John 1:14 "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth."

Jesus, after being baptized in water and by the Holy Ghost, came back to Galilee, even unto Nazareth, and went into the place of gathering for reading God's word, and read from Isaiah 61, and applied it directly to Himself:

Luk 4:14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
Luk 4:15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
Luk 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
Luk 4:17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
Luk 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Luk 4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Luk 4:20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
Luk 4:21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
Jesus just quoted the scripture which speaks of the Messiah/Christ (Anointed), and applied it directly to Himself.
Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Amen I love searching prophecy here’s another regarding this

“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth:

and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

...And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.”

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

One of my favorite Scriptures:)

Amen to that if you think about it if I kill, lie , cheat, steal ect I’m not acting in love. That’s what the law and prophets were about how we treat others that’s what Jesus teaches how to love one another his way

Indeed, but I am only utilizing those words which Jesus stated about Himself to show what He Himself taught (as recorded), and not what others stated about Him. For instance:

Jesus directly stated that He had existed before the earth was even created, in Heaven, as an individual Person/Being, distinct from His Father (another Person/Being):
Joh 6:62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
Joh_17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Jesus also taught that He was distinct and individual from the Person/Being of the Holy Ghost/Spirit of JEHOVAH Elohiym:

Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

So in chapter 14 there

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:15-17, 21, 23-24‬ ‭

Just wanted to show the context
A bit

well yes Jesus has the role of Christ God is three in one being each having their own purpose all Three are God and all are one . Uet again different purposes

the Holy Ghost comes from God unto the believer , only through the things Jesus the son accomplished , God the Fathers will through his three distinct aspects of his divine being

it doesn’t appear on the Bible the phrase “Jesus is God” but he actually is God manifest in his full expression to
Mankind

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus is the full view of who God is the Old Testament has him hidden in darkness and fire they never knew the true God

Jesus is the image and glory of God the full expression of our God is Jesus when he was on earth he had made himself subject like one of us a
Man . At that point Gods spirit is in him his father was with him

Jesus directly stated that He was the "good Shepherd" (in stewardship to His Father, the Husbandman), even of the Old Testament:

Joh 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Jesus stated that the real sheep of Israel belonged to Himself:

Joh 10:3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
Joh 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
Psalms 23:1 KJB - A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psalms 23:2KJB - He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Jesus stated that He was the Lord God, who will be the separator of the Sheep and the Goats, even as found in Ezekiel:

Ezekiel 34:15 KJB - I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.
Ezekiel 34:16 KJB - I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
Ezekiel 34:17KJB - And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats.

Matthew 25:31 KJB - When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Matthew 25:32 KJB - And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Matthew 25:33 KJB - And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Luke 19:10 KJB - For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Jesus directly applied Isaiah 56:8 to Himself:

Isaiah 56:8 KJB - The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
John 10:16 KJB - And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Jesus directly applied Isaiah 45:22 to Himself:

Isaiah 45:22 KJB - Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
John 12:32 KJB - And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
Jesus directly applied Zechariah 13:7 to Himself:

Zec_13:7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
Matthew 26:31 KJB - Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
Mark 14:27 KJB - And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

John 6

John 6:27 (NKJV): Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

John 6:35 (NKJV): And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst

John 6:37–40 (NKJV): All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

John 6:47–51 (NKJV): Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

John 6:54–58 (NKJV): Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”

the most controversial, Mistranslated and misused scripture in my view, but a message Of deep hope, every child of god should feed on these words which give assurance and encouragement in time of trouble and doubt

The BDF (Bible Discussion Forum) is a nest for pharisee's that like throwing accusations around, spiritual and intellectual pride, name calling and saying that everyone who disagrees with their view is going to help and a heretic. Humility doesn't really exist here.

What do you mean? Show me any scripture where Jesus said any such thing.
sure bro

‬‬
“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there are three aspects of one God the word of course became the son of God being born a man so we can know him

“Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The word that is one with God is jesus Christ his Son

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

...And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:14, 16, 18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

so then you have the conclusion of the apostle John the beloved

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

please allow for a good spirit I’m happy to share scripture saying anything I say , just here to discuss God bless you
