How much can we get close to the sin without being affected by it? (Part 1)

  • “Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned? Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned? So is he who goes in to his neighbor's wife; whoever *touches* her shall not be innocent.” (Proverbs 6.27-29).

We can’t even touch the sin. The order is to flinch even from the appearance of evil (1Thess 5.22). Specially considering the gravity of the problem regarding to the sexual area.

Let’s not to fancy that we can get in touch with the sin and stay as before. Many people play with the sin thinking: “after I ask pardon to Jesus and everything will get fine”.

Not at all! Think: if someone make some alteration in a document, no matter how small it is this change, this repeal the document. If someone have one sexual intercourse, never more they come back to be virgin. After you scathe, utter scurrilous things or spurn someone, although you can apologize or recant, you action will smear your reputation before the other person. After all, our life is written in books (Rev 20.12), thoroughly impossible of being effaced.

So have a good weekend drawing back from all opportunity that can abet you to mischievous deportment.

In my view, as to how close can I get to sin without being affected by it, I live in this world and navigate it daily. I think that's why we're told to keep the armor of God tight about us so as to make the daily journey in the safety and security of his protection, wisdom, and leading.

Well if check in the bible there are countless examples of what can happen as a result of playing with sin.Look at Samson he kept on compromising the standards God had set in his life which would of kept him safe (and annointed)with deliah until he eventually lost everything..yet in the end God gave him back his strength yet he never regained his sight and died possibly prematurely.I sense that the affect if certain sins are worse than others and I know that some of us are struggling to overcome certain sins In our lives and the bible does say that if we confess our sins God will forgives us and purify us from all unrighteousness...yet at the same time some sins will have consequences upon us and even others too.
