1) "...the Soul that sinneth, it shall die." Ezekiel 18:4 KJV

3) "Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a Soul from death..." -James 5:20 KJV

4) "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the Soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both Soul and body in hell. ("grave" or "place of the dead") - Matthew 10:28 KJV

5) "...His Soul was not left in Hades ("grave" or "place of the dead)". - Acts 2:31 KJV

6) "...and every living soul died..." - Revelation 16:3 KJV

I could go on, but I think this is plenty. The only way to conclude that dead Souls can relocate to a new place when it dies is to just totally ignore Biblical reason and common sense. SOULS DIE AND CEASE TO BE UNTIL THE RESURRECTION.

Let's read Genesis 2:7 KJV together and see if anyone "receives" a Soul, shall we?

"And God formed man of the dust of the ground, breathed into his nostrils the Breath of Life, and man BECAME a living Soul."

IDK, sure sounds like we don't "receive" a Soul, but that once God's Spirit/Breath of Life enters the Body prepared for us by God, we BECOME a Living Soul...and not, as you say, "receive" a Soul.

Are you reading a different version? Is this something you heard you preacher say? I would suggest you cling to good ol' Genesis 2:7 KJV.

In heaven he makes a place for us but heaven is God’s temple and throne, where we tend to him and worship him and so it is not a place for us 1stly but a place where we have been designed to partake in the our roles related to worship of God as a primary role.

In that way I would suggest we receive it according to this creation a new eternal living soul. One not subject to the law "death" the temporal

Death as to the letter of the law on the last day will be tossed into the judgment fire of God never to rise and condemn through corruption another whole creation. The new creatures new creatures.

Jesus will "descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God" (1 Thess. 4:16-18 KJV) and resurrect the dead saints which will be "caught up" to Him in the clouds with the living saints hot on their heels, while at the same time the living wicked will drop dead all across the planet from the "brightness of His coming" (2 Thess. 2:8 KJV) and join the dead wicked, in a fulfillment of Jeremiah's prophecy: "The Lord shall roar from on high...He shall give a shout...against all the inhabitants of the Earth...And the slain of the Lord at that day shall be from one end of the Earth even to the other end of the Earth: they shall not be gathered, nor lamented, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground." (Jeremiah 25:30-33 KJV) THESE ARE THE ONES WILL BE LEFT BEHIND.

Do not "we" have to first exist before we can "receive" anything? Since "we" don't come into existence until AFTER the union of the dust of the ground and the Breath of Life, "we" can't receive anything until AFTER THE FACT. Again, dust of the ground does not "receive a soul", dust of the ground BECOMES A SOUL which begins to exist as a consequence of the union of dust of the ground and the breath of life and goes out of existence at the disunion of the same.

BTW, there ain't a SINGLE verse that says the soul is immortal...to the contrary, the Bible repeatedly says souls DIE:

"The soul that sinneth, it shall DIE."
"He that converteth the sinner...shall save a soul from DEATH."
"Fear Him which can DESTROY both body and soul in hell."

These statements are referring to 'spiritual' death and not 'physical' death.

The last statement clearly describes 'body' and 'soul' as being two separate things.

Yes, the body and soul are separate things, in that the body is a component of the soul, just as the marrow is a component of the joints (Hebrews 4:12-13 KJV) But, are you sure about "spiritual death" being future? Impossible. Why?

When the Bible speaks of "spiritual death", IT PUTS IT IN THE PRESENT TENSE, not future tense which the following verse demonstrates:

"She that liveth in (sin) pleasure IS DEAD while she liveth." -- 1 Timothy 5:6 KJV

The verses I posted refer to a future death of the soul - a literal death of it which is means it ceases to be. Again, no where do we read about an "immortal soul"; to the contrary, Scripture says Jesus "only hath immortality."
