“And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said,

The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭17:20-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭KJV

“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

‬‬
“Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart.

This is he which received seed by the way side.

But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:18-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

notice there are different measures of fruit yielded by good ground

After his resurrection

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV

Paul’s testimony to the continuing effectiveness of the parable of the sower And the true gospel

“For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:5-6‬ ‭

Notice the fruit exists inwardly and comes by hearing and believing the gospel which is thoroughly recorded in scripture and is where those promises laid up for us in heaven exist .

eternal Life as a child of God in his eternal Kingdom seems Worth believing and worth whatever changes
We Find We need to make in our lives. But do we believe what jesus said is sort of the question or would we rather look elsewhere ?

There is such a singular harmonic message in the New Testament scripture if we don’t try to divide out the things we “ don’t agree with “

why would we ! there has been an invitation authorized and sent out to all . by our true God almighty nto a wedding supper in his kingdom and you are invited along with everyone you know tell them about the lords promises in the gospel many still haven’t heard 🙂

The scriptures on the Kingdom present the Christian with problems - as you have show from the above scripture. But the problems arise because of preconceived notions and even doctrines. But by simply defining the Kingdom, and then applying that definition, all becomes clear. A Kingdom is commonly defined as:

"A sphere within which a king lives and has his will, or laws, carried out."

Thus,
  1. when our Lord was on earth His Father, dwelling in Him, and commanding 100% obedience, was King in the life and Person of Jesus (Lk.17:20-21)
  2. when our Lord Jesus cast out demons, He had exercised DOMINION over the principalities and powers of the air, thus He was King over them and in this realm, God's Kingdom had come (Lk.11:20) but it was exercised in one area alone
  3. because God was extending the hand of reconciliation to MEN, He did not exercise Kingship over them because that would mean prison and death for the disobedient. So our Lord Jesus said that His Kingdom was not of this world. The word "world" in the Greek is "kosmos" and means; "the arrangement of things", or, "the adornment". It can mean the world, or the uvniverse, but its precise meaning is "the system of things". Thus, our Lord prays in Matthew 6: "Thy (God's) Kingdom COME (to earth), Thy (God's) will be done ON EARTH as it is in heaven"
  4. when our Lord Jesus left the earth, He was a rejected King on earth and in Israel, so they still need the Kingdom to come
  5. when our Lord Left the earth, He left a New Temple for the Father - the Church. Here Christ is King, so John, who was prisoner of a Gentile king could be, at the same time, in the Kingdom of the Church (Rev.1:9).
Now, almost untaught in Christianity, is that the problem of God's will not being done is a problem ON EARTH. Our Lord's prayer is; "THY Kingdom COME" .... COME FROM where? It is a Kingdom that is exercised in heaven without problems, but rejected on earth. So our Lord's prayer is that God's established Kingdom, where He is obeyed, COME TO EARTH. And further, our Lord prayed; thy will be done ON EARTH as it is in heaven". This we see, in one verses, that it is the Kingdom of God because He is the King, and it is a Kingdom which is already established in heaven BUT NOT ON EARTH. When it finally does come to earth, it will be the "Kingdom (OUT) OF Heaven". Scripture never talks of the Kingdom IN Heaven. It is always; "The Kingdom OF Heaven".

Now, when the student of scripture comes to a portion of scripture about the Kingdom, all that must be established is "what part", or "what form" of the Kingdom is that particular scripture addressing. Is the kingdom being addressed that of Christ ruling the demons? This is very different to the Kingdom when Satan offered Jesus the "kingdom's of the world" in Luke Chapter 4. And the "Messianic Kingdom" pertains to the first 1,000 years that our Lord will reign over Israel. Of course, our Lord is not ONLY "King of the Jews" but He is "King of kings". So although He will live in Jerusalem during this time, judging the 12 Tribes, He will also be King over the Christians who were found worthy to rule cities of the Gentiles (Lk.19:17:19). One is the "Kingdom of Israel", and the other is "the Kingdom of Heaven" because while the Law is enforced in Israel (Jer.31-31-33), the rules of heaven will be enforced on the Nations. The Jew will have God's Laws written inside of him and thus he will naturally be inclined to keep them. But not so the Gentiles. The Gentiles will still be in the flesh, they will naturally abhor the rules of heaven. So the rules of heaven will be administered with "the rod of iron".

In each and ever scripture, the CONTEXT is decisive to discover which KINGDOM is being talked about.

there’s just the one kingdom of God the kingdom of God and kingdom of heaven are the same thing Matthew uses one term Luke and mark another

“And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there is heaven and earth . One kingdom . From the beginning it all is Gods kingdom All things he created. What happened was he gave man the earth in the beginning and man cursed the earth

“The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's:

but the earth hath he given to the children of men.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭115:16‬ ‭KJV

here’s what man did

The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭24:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

what the gospel of the kingdom is all about is Jesus being born “ the son of man” because earth was given to
Men and we destroyed it , he became a
Man in order to redeem it unto God .

so now you have Jesus Christ who is lord of both heaven and earth.

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Gods kingdom is here in spirit and will come forth at its appointed time but the kingdom is within a believer because of the promises of the gospel

“Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s Gods kingdom it is now in heaven where he is seated on the throne and at the appointed time of his return to earth will be established as he said

yes it’s a veil through such we cannot clearly see anymore because of sins effect in our hearts , the very reason Jesus came teaching the truth and offering light in darkness

God is omnipotent King now, PTL, but that does not exclude our anticipation for his Second Coming.

John
14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.

The kingdom of heaven is one of many names that the scriptures refer to as the church. Some of the other names that the church is called are; the church of God, the church of Christ, the kingdom of God, the church of the first born, Zion, the church in the wilderness, the new Jerusalem, and more.

The kingdom comes without observation, because it is within the regenerated people, that usually meet in a building, but wherever they meet, even when it is just two or three, with the purpose of worshiping, and honoring God, he says he is in their presence.

Ezekiel 10 talks about as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel. I believe this to represent the invisible church, being the larger wheel, which is made up of all of God's elect, and the inner, and smaller wheel, which is the visible church, made up of the 144,000, known as the remnant.

To my understanding, this harmonizes with the two gates described in Matthew 7. The wide gate being the elect that have not been taught the righteousness of God, and are going about trying to establish their own righteousness by their good works, and the straight gate being the 144,000, the remnant, who have been revealed, by the Holy Spirit, the righteousness of God"s grace toward them.

amen to that it is our hope !!! While we wait

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

amen indeed he is coming again just as his first coming concluded the ot his second will usher in eternity

sure , it’s in those who believe the gospel of the kingdom it is what Jesus preached

“And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the kingdom of God is the gospel Jesus preached in order to be saved we have to believe it that’s how it is in us

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭

the gospel of the kingdom of God has to be accepted and believed that is the kingdom of God to believe the gospel of the kingdom of God makes one a citizen It’s the only way .

there’s just the church on earth which are the people of the kingdom who hold the gospel inside . Those people are being redeemed and translated into the kingdom which is coming but already is in the heavenly realm.

Christ is already seated in the new Jerusalem in heaven he’s going to bring that with him when he returns

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:1-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s Gods kingdom the only connection we have to it is spirit and hope for what he promised in the gospel of the kingdom of God preached and taught by Jesus

The spirit of the living creatures are in the wheels

“And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.

Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭1:19-20‬ ‭

to me I’m sort of on the track that this has to do with the New Testament and restoration of spirit inside flesh. Which God had been promising to give a new spirit that would quicken and make strong make able to obey

“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭36:26-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s an early reference to the righteousness of faith found in the gospel of the kingdom

there’s just the one kingdom of God the kingdom of God and kingdom of heaven are the same thing Matthew uses one term Luke and mark another

‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s Gods kingdom it is now in heaven where he is seated on the throne and at the appointed time of his return to earth will be established as he said
Thank you for your viewpoint. I would have been interested to see your argument why, if the Lord Jesus was present, was King, and had all power in heaven and on earth, He had to ask the Father for His Kingdom to COME. It would have also been informative if you could explain why "the Kingodm of God is righteousness, peace and joy", but the whole earth shudders under unrighteousness, war and sadness. I'm open to learn.

Just curious, could you give me scripture that says when Christ returns to gather his elect, he's bringing what's already in heaven to earth when he comes?

because Christ became a man and made himself subject like we are when Jesus was on earth in the form of a man that is what the term Christ means . He didn’t come as God , but humbled himself and became one of us .

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:5-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Again Jesus is God who became one of us in order to save us it was necessary here is a bit more

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same;

that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:14-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In the gospel you are looking at God who stepped off his throne , was born into the world like we are to redeem us from sin and death

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the father is always with the son
“And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus asks God the father everything as an example to us , God is father son and Holy Ghost they are one he is king eternal

Just curious, could you give me scripture that says when Christ returns to gather his elect, he's bringing what's already in heaven to earth when he comes?
Zion or new Jerusalem is in heaven

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:22-23‬ ‭

simply this whole world all that’s in it is reserved by Gods word for This purpose

“But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

...But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:7, 10, 13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it’s not Only that He’s bringing the new he’s also going to destroy the old when he comes

“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;”
‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭1:7-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s what’s reserved for fire and judgement but Gods promise will come forth on the great day . The end of these things and new shall
Be fully known .

everything is waiting on his return if we’re not on earth when it happens we’ll be here waiting and serving in the kingdom the heavenly church in the city of God in heaven

“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭7:9-10, 13-14‬ ‭

the great tribulation is this terribly evil world we’re in

“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:16-17‬ ‭

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

of course the kingdom is not of this world because this world is doomed the kingdom is eternal comes from God

In the verses you gave to establish an answer to my question, not one addresses the Kingdom - whether it be here now or not. But you emphasized Isaiah 9:6. Did you notice the tenses?
  • "A child IS born" - present tense
  • "A son IS given" - present tense
  • "The government SHALL be on His shoulder" - future tense
  • "His Name SHALL be called ..." - future tense
And so it is in Acts 15:14-16;

14 "Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up."

Isaiah 9 is a prediction of Christ's birth and sonship - NOT to the Church, for the Church is only revealed in the New Testament, but to ISRAEL. Israel reject Him and so He retires to heaven UNTIL the Church is complete. Only AFTER THIS does He restore the House of David. David himself first needs to be resurrected (Jer.30:9) and then all Israel resurrected and gathered. This has not happened yet. So the announcement of Jesus Messiah is that a HEIR to David's throne IS born, BUT He will only take His rightful place as King in His Kingdom MUCH LATER. This, we have seen before our eyes as the Son of David is rejected by Israel, and two thousand years have passed without the house of David.

And finally, the KINGDOM predicted here is ISRAEL - not the Kingdom of Heaven. So, here is a summary of my first post again:
  1. Our Lord Jesus COMES and subdues the principalities and their power by casting out demons. The Kingdom has come because the King is present and the enemy is subdued. Israel thought the enemy was Rome, but it was their sins provoked by "powers of the air".
  2. Our Lord Jesus presents this Kingdom to Israel - it is "at hand". Israel refuse Him and kill their King. God rips the Kingdom of Heaven from them (Matt.21:43)
  3. Our Lord turns to a New People - His disciples, and gives them the "keys of the Kingdom" - the Church (Matt.16:19)
  4. Our Lord retires to heaven so that the Holy Spirit can build this New People (Jn.16:7). Israel is chastised for this time (Hos.6:2)
  5. Our Lord will come again to (i) judge the New People AND (ii) to judge Israel, AND (iii) to defeat the Gentiles in one major military battle - Armageddon.
  6. Our Lord sets up the Kingdom of David - Israel, ... and becomes "King of the Jews"
  7. Our Lord sets up the Kingdom of Heaven - on earth, ... and becomes "the King of kings"
  8. Our Lord sets certain Christians, who are found worthy, to be His co-kings. The Twelve Apostles rule the 12 Tribes of Israel and Overcoming Christians rule Gentile cities (Matt.19:28, Lk.19:17-19)

It would have been nice if you gave scripture references for your statements. Here is my understanding.
  • Our Lord Jesus did not end the Covenant for Israel. Its penalties are being applied now before our eyes. Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28 with all their penalties are being applied as we speak. The holocaust is just one example
  • David's Kingdom is over united Israel. His "House" is the line of kings ending in Jesus. Israel is an earthly people who have been promised a Land, with borders, "for an everlasting possession" (Gen.17:8). There is no evidence of Israel in Heaven - ever
  • Our Lord Jesus does NOT sit in David's Throne now. He sits in His Father's throne (Heb.1:3, 8:1; Rev.3:21)
  • God did live in a House "made with hands" - the Tabernacle of the Wilderness and the Temple built by Solomon. Now that He has the Church, He does not live in "houses made by hands". But when Jesus - the Man - returns to earth He will live in Jerusalem and live in the Temple of Ezekiel. God - a Spirit, lives in the Church - not made with hands. Jesus, Emanuel, a Man, will live in House made with hands in Jerusalem
  • David's Throne and House will only be established AFTER the Church is built and Jesus has "returned" (Act.15:14-16)
  • Jesus is King of the Jews because He is born to David's line via Nathan, and adopted by Joseph of Solomon's line. But because Jesus is Abraham's line, He will be king of the whole earth - the "King of kings" (Rom.4:13).
  • The 12 Apostles will rule Israel. The Overcoming Believers will rule the Gentiles (Matt.19:28, Lk.19:17-19; Rev.2:26-27), ALL ON EARTH
