Has anyone had any luck going into stores wearing a "breathable mask?"

Ha ha! Yes, exactly - a mask would be good if one wanted to rob a bank!

Yes, I agree with you that the masking tyranny (and related Coronovirus hoax - I call it a hoax as it's tremendously exaggerated) has been brought about by evil people in governments around the world.

I am glad you have good success with stores leaving you alone when you say you can't wear them because of a health condition. I tell them that, too, but some are so stubborn - they still insist that I must wear one - so I have left such stores. I have a cousin who gets away with not wearing a mask too when going in stores - she said she and her husband do so and if asked - do as you said you do - they just say that they can't because of health conditions.

I go to stores less now, because of this mask law. I felt the right thing to do was not to wear a mask as I don't want to appear to accept their wrong law. But in my case, I found as I said - there are some places that are very obstinate and bullheaded about it. But maybe personality helps to control them - like if one has a real authorative personality - which I don't - as I'm shy. So I just do the best I can and keep praying for all this tyranny to stop as soon as is possible. It is persecution. I made a lace mask and wore it successfully, a few days ago in a store that wouldn't let me in before.

I am curious. Do you agree with the following 2 points?
  1. You can spread covid-19, even while you display no symptoms.
  2. And if so, wearing a face mask helps to lower the probability of you spreading it to others?

the first point- no, the c d c in america has said that asymptomatic people cannot spread the virus.

second point- if a person is not wearing a medical grade mask, then they are not doing any type of virus protection.

Interesting, did the recent White House covid-19 spread changed your mind about point 1?

i don't think Christians should be lawbreakers or flaunting the laws or trying to find sneaky ways around obeying the laws.

it may inconvenience me but i'm not going to willfully make myself a criminal in this matter just because rules aren't being harshly enforced. my workplace and my city require mask use for the time being -- so i dutifully wear one, properly, not like a rebellious delinquent but like a citizen who believes Romans 13 is true & who honors the authorities God has set in place.

People ain't very picky where I'm at. I saw one guy wearing a pair of panty hose over his head in the John Deere shop.:geek:
Oh I see - interesting idea - wearing panty hose as a face mask! Yes, I imagine some areas differ compared to others as to how tolerant they're wiling to be towards those who don't want to wear the masks! Plus some stores - I've noticed are more tolerant than others, here.

I respect your view and you of course must do what you feel in your conscience - is the right thing to do in this matter.

But to me - wearing a mask, unless one is forced to wear one - is to appear to agree with the mask law. And I see the mask law as being wrong and not healthful and not pleasing to God. True we are to obey the government, if it has righteous laws. But not if obeying them forces us to do things that are against our consciences. We must obey God rather than man, I believe - in cases where our consciences can't help but bother us.

For example:
Acts 5:29

29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
KJV

i don't consider 'my right to infect others with sickness' to fall under the category of 'we must obey God rather than men'

((trying to keep it Bible-Discussion in here ;)))

do you consider stopping at red lights to give the appearance that you agree with there being a stop light there?

wrong place for this post
I respect your views. But health matters to God, and I see it as God's will for me to protect my health by not wearing a mask that makes it hard for me to breathe, as I am a "temple of the Holy Ghost." I don't expect all Christians to agree on this subject of the masks. I believe all Christians need to obey their consciences, as the Bible says it is a sin to disobey one's conscience. However, not all Christians are correct on the subject, I believe. And I believe God wants His people to understand, as much as is possible - what His will is in this matter. Especially if masks would be hard on their health - as God wants us all to do all we can to keep healthy - as we are temples of the Holy Ghost.

while i do not agree with mask mandates, private businesses do have the right to make up policies .

so, when a retailor requires a mask, i wear one. no one is forcing me to go in there.

I am not a driver. But I see no harm in stopping at red lights if that's the law, even if it isn't always necessary. However, if it endangered my health - my life - or others - to be stopping at a red light - than it's clear it shouldn't be done. But stopping at a red light isn't harmful - and so one should do so even when not necessary - in order to not violate the laws of government. One shouldn't violate governmental laws, unless they are harmful or against God's Word.

does covering your mouth with a cloth prevent you from serving God?

this does not apply to the situation IMO and it should not be abused as tho it gives you the right to pick & choose what laws to obey what to ignore -- the context of Acts 5 is that the apostles were being told not to preach Christ. this is not the context of '
please cover your mouth and nose there is a highly contagious virus being spread'

we've got stores with 'no shirt no shoes no service' rules.
would i be right to go into those places in nothing but my skivvies and claim "
must obey God rather than men" ??

if we cannot be faithful in small things..
what kind of example are we to the world?

same here. my workplace requires one, and all of the municipalities in my area have temporary laws requiring them when entering any business. so i comply without complaint.

my area is heavily politically Republican -- so, as you ought to expect, about 70% of the people here break these laws flagrantly.
((because 'party of law and order' LOL??))
but i will not be counted a lawbreaker with them just because of some kind of worldly partisanship or because i think i know better than the lawmaker so 'it's OK for me to break it'

IMO you guys flagrantly violating mask & distancing ordinances are not acting as Christians; i don't see the Bible supporting what you're doing. this isn't a question of your ability to freely praise God or preach the gospel being infringed on -- and you're not being kept from doing anything God commands. Acts 5:39 is not relevant here.
