Hi everyone. I live in New Jersey (USA) and want to leave because I’m tired of the rat race. What are the pros and cons of your town/city/state? Thank you.

I'm not much help. We live on the Oregon coast and good jobs can be hard to find. Rentals are being snatched up quickly and houses are more expensive than they should be. While I would love to say, "Move to Oregon!" because it's a beautiful state, things here aren't all they're cracked up to be. Many of my friends are hoping to move.
Maybe look at Idaho?

Pretty good question to ask the Lord, He has a complete plan for each of our lives, our purpose for this gift of life is to find that plan and walk it out before our days are over and we stand before Him and our eternity is determined.

Southwest Tennessee has a low cost of living, friendly people and pretty green scenery. On the other hand there's not much to do here except work at the local factory or store.

It's a nice place to live, but I wouldn't want to visit here. Tourists wouldn't have much to do. But it sure is peaceful and comfortable.

There's nothing at all wrong with gathering information, and depending on God in place of doing research is just plain lazy.

The best course of action I have found is to gather information, then pray about it.

I'm in NY now but when I was married I live in Maine for 11 years. Not much crime except in Portland because all the drug ppl come up from Boston and it has the biggest population of ppl to in Maine. Great mellow place to raise kids. 2 great colleges. Job wise is meh depending on what town or city yer in. Pretty friendly ppl. Weather isn't as arctic as ppl assume unless you live up near towards Canada.
Fun fact... 60% of Maine is unpopulated. So you can be a hermit if you so choose. 😋

you cant come here cos you dont live in my country, but my city is pretty full up now and we dont really need more people lol

tired rats need to just go and take a cruise, I dont think city rats really adjust to the country lifestyle. Its actually harder work for them.

God pretty much said to me grow where you are planted, and He appoints the times and places wherever you may be. If its getting tiring, take a nap.

New Jersey prolly has a lot of things going for it, that you might not see, why not do an exchange with someone in another state who wants to live where you are and you go live where they are for a few months or so.

The place of ones birth is a lot more significant than most people realise. Jesus was born in Bethlehem Judea, but grew up in Nazareth, Galilee and also spent some time in Egypt. Galilee was part of Dan and Napthalis tribal lands. Because of Jesus judaen birthright, he would spend time in the temple in Jerusalem where he did most of his ministry, but often went to visit Bethany just outside it. Bethany was were He ascended.

A lot of peoples focus is on the big cities, in Jesus time it was Jerusalem, but its the smaller towns and suburban districts where people call home.
