True I am not always civil I become very protective of others and sometimes allow my anger to let loose and I have been trinyg to not let that happen again and so if I feel that anger rising I don't let it affect what I say at least I try not to
However everything I said about you is seen all over the threads you have been on and I don't have to even speak for myself if you want I too can go and show you your posts
If you feel you need vindication by pointing to some of my posts that you have deemed offensive, then go for it.

I am on the same page about that, it's hard enough to control ourselves. How should I expect to control my surroundings? But I wanted to point out that if we can have conflicting motives and choose the wiser one even if the other thing is right to do, so can God. It's not strange at all that to God patience and mercy take precedence above vengeance. If due, vengeance can't go amiss. Nobody fit for punishment will go unpunished. What is the concern then, why do we rush it. Then on the other side, you have the other extreme, people saying, "God is evil for punishing people, God should just forgive everybody and punish nobody. Oh, except Hitler, forgot about him. And rapists. And a few more from my list. But He should just forgive everybody else, what we have sinned stinks less then their sins"

"Not so, beloved."

I seriously think we as people are not fit - either one of us - to judge these things, it always turns into hypocrisy and always will.
Agree we are not fit to judge and expect God to exact revenge today or tomorrow.

Yes... I've heard of Cory. I did not know though of the amount of hurt that you conquered. You are an inspiration. I believe our OP is just overwhelmed with feelings and working through it right now. Sometimes it takes time. Thank God He is patient with us!

For one on post 39 in your millenia thread you said this All your theories are wrong but my daddy told me to never argue with stupid. I already got on to you for what said earler for the most part your insults are more subtle like the boring zzz or something and I let those slide it's one thing if you are unwilling to learn from others and if you think you are always right like I said before it's when you speak ill of others I take issue

It isn't hard to notice the sarcasm in your responses and I let this slide as well but as I said before when comes to others yes I will call you on it I know that I cannot keep everyone in line in this forum but I try to do what I can if we are Christians then we should show the fruits with love peace and patience if we cannot debate in a mature and Christlike manner then we shouldn't be debating

neither one of us have ever wanted to 'walk-away' from Jesus, AFTER our 'real conversion' -
but, we have gone through many experiences of DOUBT, not because of Him, but because
of how 'weak we still were' in our brand new journey/growing process while The Holy Spirit
was breaking-drawing-dragging us out of the powers of the darkness of this world!
over and over we 'doubted' even after seeing the 'powers that be' - and mind-blowing they were!!!
but, at last He has brought us to the real knowledge of His Kingdom/Promised Land that He was teaching
while He walked this land that we live on, and we believe every bit of it with our whole beings,
hearts-minds-thoughts-Spirits! it's a 'done deal at last', over all of these decades!!!
and He has led us to share where/when ever He gives us the opportunity, whether anyone choses
to listen or not, it's just what is required of us, a seed: we only live/desire, to do His will each and every day
for the rest of our lives, no matter what the world or anyone 'thinks-likes-judges', for we are His slaves to
our dying day...
'Great Peace have they that Love Thy Law, and nothing shall offend them',,.,

I get involved for several reasons for one the mods are very busy and cannot always keep things calm the second is because we are to be peacekeepers and help bring unity the third is because this isn't elementary school and so no matter who it is it's unacceptable to act in such a manner so yes when it is needed if no one will stand up for another person then I will

I am wondering if perhaps the phrase walk away is sometimes misunderstood with strayed I can't imagine anyone who has enjoyed his presence could actually walk away from him we all stray but sometimes but lets be honest walking away missing the wonders of his love and soaking in his beautiful presence? Not a chance.

Brother Blain,
we expressed the phrase of 'walking away', there really is no difference compared to STRAYING, (it could be just a few feet),
but, that is just the way we feel, and we respect your analogy for your own personal reasons, = always take into consideration the 'time-lapse'! smiles & hugs...

OP you just carry on in your walk and not worry what everyone else is doing. revelation says let those who are holy be holy still and let the unrighteous be unrighteous. It does rain on the holy and unrighteous alike.

YOU know inside you have His spirit in you that cant be taken away, and they that are ignorant will STILL be ignorant, even if they claim to be christians. Ive seen terrible behaviour by those who claim to be for Christ but is it my job to condemn them? No. God can deal with them. Does it affect me? well God has taught me to walk away from them and given me MY walk to focus on.

I was reading this memoir of an author who came to Christ in his youth and got married to another believer, but his wife was unfaithful and left him for another man. He then lost his faith in God. It made me wonder what kind of faith did he have to begin with or was it only a faith so he could marry someone?
I know betrayal is hard to handle yet so many on here have been betrayed and gone through divorce but still keep their faith. They are even able to see their ex years later and not feel like they want their ex to die.
so you need to examine your faith.

and lets not forget Jesus was betrayed by Judas who gave all appearnace of godliness...except that Jesus really knew what was in Judas heart and wasnt really fooled though it hurt him that Judas did that. Did that then stop all the other disciples from believing? Jesus was able to forgive Peter who denied him even.
I guess it depends on the level of pain that is inflicted. The Christian sibling did something extremely evil. It hasn't made me lose faith in God - that's settled - it's that I don't understand what He's doing.

I’ve thought about that question throughout my life. The evil people in this world tend to go unpunished while those that believe in God seem to be tested constantly...or so it seems. Our ability to see clearly God’s plan is limited in this world. We tend to think that God is not working in our lives and the lives of others around us if judgements are not passed out as we would give them. The road to heaven would be clear if God’s judgement was swift and exacting as soon as the wrong doing happened. However, we would also return to our God “beaten into submission” and out of fear of punishment not out of love for Him and a desire to follow His Son.

Your frustration is real because it is true that God allows His children to make mistakes (and dreadful one’s too) in this world without immediate punishment. God however is a just God and his judgements will be just for all those that break his commandments and even more severe for those that knowingly use their authority to intentionally harm others. So, whether in this life or the next all of us will have to answer to God for our actions whether good or evil.

As with Saul who became Paul, we don’t know when God will move in their lives. Saul was Saul for a long time and did a lot of damage to the Christians. God has his own timeline. Other’s might not ever respond to God’s call but I’m glad that you did.
That is EXACTLY what I mean. I feel like I'm buffeted by Satan and tested constantly and it HURTS to see others sail along and then disparage you and try to blame you for your trials. The one friend is so snippy and self-righteous and it was not until recently that I really saw the truth about her and her husband. They seem to have sailed along while I have had very severe trials and testing to the point where I didn't think I could get through. It didn't make sense why I was so badly tested until I realized that she really isn't doing the Lord's work. She goes to church and sings and ACTS like a Christian but she's not out evangelizing or trying to make the world a better place. Not that I've done great things - I haven't. But there has to be a reason why Satan has hit me and not her. That's the only thing I could think of. But she was just like Job's friends. And I saw through her because never once through my severe trials did she come to visit or ask if I needed help, yet she and her husband fluttered around their church friends and I came to see it as more tradition and an act than it coming from the heart.

Then there is the issue of the sibling that did such terrible evil that caused very bad stuff - I can't understand why God lets her breathe. Then I watch Dateline and see young people whose life ends in their youth and I wonder why the witch evildoer is still here. God just does not make sense.

I guess as someone said, there could be things that I don't see. But God BUILT JUSTICE INTO US - Scripture is replete with assertions of God being a just God. So I can't understand why He allows seeming injustice.

Yep, justice is always served... we don't just necessarily stick around sufficiently long (as humans) to see the verdict nor is the verdict always carried out in this life... the reasons for this will likely be understood upon transcending human existence into whatever lies beyond... also, not only individuals are constantly coming under judgment, but also, various groups of people, and whole nations, and humanity as a whole.
We're talking about a being who says things like this, considering centuries and millennia in a single glance:
Genesis 15:16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.
Human mind simply doesn't think on this wavelength.
I just don't know what to do with all the deep questions about seeming injustice. Do you just set them aside? Block them out when questions arise in your heart?

In this year in particular I and many others have been under severe spiritual attacks the likes of which I have never faced before but there is an old saying if you are being attacked by the enemy you must be doing something right
