There are so many theys. They do this or they don't do that. They are judgemental, or negative, they are like this or like that. The mockers, the slanderers and gossips, those that are eager to destroy, filled with oppression, greed, hate and violence. What about those dang hypocrites?
Those ppl are like this or that...oh great are the enemies of they.

Since the dawn of time, we have been pointing fingers

The theys have nothing on the enemy that can be much more wretched and predatorial. The lies we tell ourselves when we focus on the theys with self righteous contempt. We need to look no further than to examine where we ourselves can be better, where we fall short.

Lord, help us recognize darkness when we see it but not gaze and dwell upon it. Let us not be consumed with the theys and the thems, except in prayer and mercy. Help us put down our quest to find error in others, so that we can rightfully examine our own hearts, freeing us to love without the grime of bitterness. Heal our minds and hearts, and help us only to seek to bless, to share Your abundant love and mercy with all who cross our paths, in thought and action.

Lord, forgive my selfishness, my self righteousness, and help us all to love as we are called. We need Your steadfast touch, to love and care sincerely, not out of obligation but because You designed us to love one another.

Help us to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You.

Thank You Lord of hosts...

very informative Post, CR.,
such a great message for those who are 'new in Christ' -
how can we ever be grateful enough for the Elected Love that He has bestowed upon us???
the humility that our Saviour has taught us through our Love for His Holy Sacrifice is monumental!!!
thank God for teaching us how to share our gifts with others who are seeking His Love...

All I know is on the job, day shift blames everything on that lazy night shift, and night shift blames everything on that lazy day shift.

The job is not done because "they" didn't do it. And of course "we" didn't do it because "That's not my job."

it is draining to always be thinking of your enemies. Think of your friends instead.
